It is our home, we are in the process of the final fix, getting her ready to sell. Phase two of finding the right place for us to go, has been completed. Two areas we are considering, Rhône Valley, and Western CO. (Durango and Grand Junction area). We will be touring Western Wyoming next, and then Southwestern Montana.

Right now, Grand Junction, is in the lead. Everybody is certainly familiar with the gorgeous mountain land Colorado provides, but few realize the canyon lands bring a tremendous amount to the table as well. We backpacked about 1000 acres of BLM property, while there, amazing views, unbelievable artifacts, cliffs, valleys, caves, monuments, mountains, just perfect for My Beautiful Wife and I.

If we had to choose it would be the Western Slopes, by far.
This is the Black Canyon of the Gunnison River. The exposed walls are Precambrian, 2000 feet below is the Gunnison, on the 5th steepest run on the planet, for E2E elevation loss. Lots of class 4s and 5s for white water. Most of the walls in this canyon see less than 1 hour/day of sunlight. We were lucky to be there at the right time to catch the painted walls.

Fruta Smoking wood is in the area, and it has been a favorite source for purchasing the best smoking wood I have used. So that is another plus.

Great area of the country, we were there for a few nights in the summer, explored the canyon a bit and camped on the Blue Mesa Reservoir.

I live in CA so best one I’ve had recently has been homemade. I was missing the subs I had in NH and Boston during my time spent living out there. When I lived in the North End I ate a lot of subs, two meals for a college student.

Ham / gammon joint in coke is great.  No idea how it works of why, but its the best way we have cooked it.  Usually slow-cooker (not to self,  get slow-cooker out of the garage) but finishing on the Egg is nice touch.

First quarter of 2021. I can’t be more precise than that until VW is. I did make arrangements to do touch up paint on the Mazda in December and the Mazda dealer promised to give me a copy of my service records to help with my resale.

It's a pile of bits at the moment. The frame just has the wiring and front end left, everything else off to get the engine out.

Cam bearings was the problem: one cam bearing very bad, one a bit bad and 2 OK ish. Can't be replaced without pressing off / on a gear, so they're away with a specialist. Sent the head off to a different specialist to see if anything needs doing. Ti valves and 3 angle seats, so not a lot I can do at home if there's a problem. Bottom end fine. Just flushing out any unwanted shiny bits now.

I clicked on the Wikipedia page and noticed the second picture is two of my friends who are from the Twin Cities. There must have been 12-14 of us who went out to his parents farm one weekend from the cities. After a long night of adult beverages we showed up at their local diner the next morning. (Just outside the picture of my friends) The poor older husband and wife who run the diner was shocked when they saw 12+ people show up. I'd imagine our group was more people than the diner sees all day long. We pretty much ate everything that had in stock. We made sure to tip nicely. How funny that we made their Wikipedia photo!

Just returned from a rare opportunity.  My son knows a group of owners at a small local brewery in Louisville.  Turns out one of the owners has quite a bourbon collection which he sells to the public.  However, of late he has decided to cull some of the collection.
Today he offered the Blanton's Green (sold in Japan) and Gold (UK release) at close to cost price.  Limit 2 oz per customer.
The evidence:

It was worth every $$.  Better to be lucky than good any day!  
Edit: the bottled proof and finish are totally different.  The Japanese and the domestic (USA) are bottled at 93 proof.  The UK version comes in at 103 proof.  The finish difference is quite noticeable.
