How much was spring tune up this year @Sea2Ski ?
@kl8ton For the small bay boat, just shy of 2k if you do not count the new 110 hp engine.
The offshore boat $0.  The 50 ft Viking was sold end of last summer. It is now is Wellington New Zealand. It was perfect timing.  We were looking/thinking of 54’ replacements but with the economy the way it is, we think the market will get flooded by end of summer once those living above their means need to offload their expensive toys.  Already can get younger 58-60 footers for the same price of a 54’  So we are hoping for a 61-64’ now.  And for those not into boats - it is astonishing how much bigger a 54’ boat is than a 50’.
In the meantime we are not in a rush. We have friends and charters available to take us when we want to go.
@dbCooper we did the math. We could do charter boat trips every weekend and pay the going rate, and that would pay for dock fees and winter storage for the old offshore boat. That does not include the maintenance, $1200-$2000 fill up cost costs or anything else.
But I do not want to mislead anyone. The big boat is my cousins. I only captain, act mate, and do what maintenance I can on it. In exchange I get to go fishing for “free” and live on it on weekends.  I have the best situation possible. All the fun and experiences but none of the cost.  Everyone wins here.

That is winning all the way around for sure. I always thought the best boat you can have is your buddy's, unfortunately that is what they tell me because I am the one with the boat and the bills.

I just finished eating the leg quarter from that half of a jerk chicken that I made yesterday. Unfortunately that finished off the jar of paste. That means a 45 mile drive one way to get a replacement. None to be found in the local grocery stores. Of course no guarantee that Whole Foods still carries it either.

@Sea2Ski, I was that were the case with “lake sized” boats. Demand is through the roof and prices are crazy. I’ve been keeping an eye out for a bass boat for a while now and prices have jumped over 25% since the beginning of the year. Deals are non existent right now.

Winged my own Salami Recipe , only thing by I kept " by the book" was salt/cure/dextrose ...this has a homemade Pepper Sauce that was given to me, I added black pepper oregano and garlic....also made my own granulated garlic, don't think I'll ever buy it again, so much better ...and all this time with a dehydrator I never tried

Just picked up my warranty base. Now I need to order new bands and think about what to do with my cracked base. Thinking of using it for a plant/tree.

That’s what I’m talking about! Do you have the butcher shave the beef for you or do you just freeze some up and slice yourself (or use a slicer which I do not have)? New to the blackstone and craving a good cheesesteak.

Yes sir, thank you.   My meat guy sells prime shaved ribeye in 5lb packages.   They divided it in 1lb packages, and I did 3lbs yesterday.

OK lads,  as I have proved regularly up to now, I prefer to delegate any thinking effort that I face to the wider community.   I'd like to call it 'hive' but call it what is; 'lazy'.

So here's today question,  transporting a Large BGE - what's the best tactical approach?

    The parameters;
Much loved soul-mate resides in a hardwood table,
Moving 'talent' has been secured (two burly blokes with tail lift truck),
No disassembly, but will empty of non-secured components.

I will award grades on the basis of technical feasibility & artistic impression.
    Thanks in advance.
Other girls may try to take me away
But you know, it's by your side I will stay
