The fajitas were a success. Still getting aquatinted with cooking on the blackstone but it’s pretty dang easy. Cheesesteaks are on my short list of things to make on it soon.

Regular old white bread made with a poolish. First time baking it on the egg, could have gone better but turned out ok. Finished painting the house today, I think we’ve been painting the upstairs since December (trim, walls, ceilings). Feels good to be done to get on to other projects.

You folks that have access to ocean seafood (at a reasonable cost or catch your own), know that I live vicariously through your posts. Thanks for sharing the catch and the cooks.

Well, that's ok, I used to read Playboy just for the articles anyway.Glad to see that some sex workers are finding paths to gain more control over their work life and remuneration. Reminds one of recording artists that start their own labels rather than being "owned by the man" so to speak.

I have a half chicken on now. Rubbed in Jamaican Jerk paste and cherry wood chips added. It will probably be a while , Big Bertha the new large is slower than the old medium. Still cheap on lump though.

I plucked this Wolfgang NovoPro toaster oven off Craigslist for free this evening. Brand spanking new. Never been used. CNET had it listed for $499.99. It seems really nice. Spring loaded lever to shut the door and the knobs are buttery smooth.
Our current toaster oven is almost a fire hazard at this point. This should come in handy.

Wouldn't that be something if it didn't work....
I have a booklet that I need to read as it is a pressure oven. The plug still had the cover on it.
I did plug it in and it came up to temp. I'll definitely keep my eye on it during the first couple cooks though.
