@ColtsFan, I agree. For those of use along the coast remember our fish markets, farmers market, gardens etc. My sister raises chickens for eggs. I know a woman who raises goats and lamb. I just told mom that we might have to reconsider cutting back on the garden this year.

Ha! I saw the same pic online. That’s pretty interesting.
    Coleman, Texas
Large BGE & Mini Max for the wok. A few old camp Dutch ovens and a wood fired oven. LSG 24” cabinet offset smoker. There are a few paella pans and a Patagonia cross in the barn. A curing chamber for bacterial transformation of meats...
"Bourbon slushies. Sure you can cook on the BGE without them, but why would you?"

The dirty underbelly (literally) of owning and using an offset. If I care about my guests enough to cook good food, why would I do it on a cooker with rancid fat and rust inside? Also I’ve learned it’s actually easier to keep it from rusting or growing mold if I wash it after a long cook. Hit it with some cheap spray oil and it’s good for a while.

I told a friend it’s like dating a high maintenance girlfriend. The eggs and the wood oven are much easier to maintain.

An overlooked quality if an Egg is the low maintenance, my stick Burners are double the work on the back end

One big plus on the post-cook stick burner clean is that the next time you fire it up all you need to do is "fire the fire."  That is a lure to the post-cook clean cycle.  I will never learn.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

Agree 100%. It’s what we live for, as do about 80 other guys that are retired and play the “Senior” league at my course.
