I blame @lkapigian for getting his new smoker. So of course I had to go check out the Brinkmann sale at Home Depot.

I can never find my tongs when needed. I should be good for a short while. =)

The press is one step closer to a griddle right? ;)

    Man...and I thought I had a lot of tongs!

Hard to pass up for $1.30 per tong. I won't feel too bad when one goes missing =)

    @WeberWho ...well worth 69 dollars
@lkapigianIt's a steal for $69. I use to have an imitation Weber Smokey Mountain as my first smoker. I gave it to my coworker after getting my first large. I actually miss it at times. Especially camping, tailgating, etc. This one was very tempting. Trying to convince the wife that we need an 9th grill between the two of us would be a tough sell. Still very tempting though..... Congrats on the smoker and find!

Dumps like a truck. truck. truck.  Thighs like what. what? what.

Which came first the chicken or the egg?  I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

It was just okay at best. We only had entrees.  I had what they call a pork bomb. A "reverse seared pork shoulder filet" that was slow cooked for five hours. It was drenched in sauce which isn't my thing. The flavor was fair at best. Nothing to write home about. The other guy I was with had the ribs. They were over cooked. He couldn't even pick up a rib, just a bare bone. He had to eat them with a fork. He said the dry rub they used was really mild and didn't have much flavor. Sauce is served on the side  unlike the sauce bath my pork received. We both had charred vegetables that were severely lacking any char. Nothing special about the veggies at all. I'm confident that a solid majority of this forum could do better job that they did.

It is almost impossible to be blown away at any place other than home with a meal anymore. They hardly have the drink I want, they can't fix it the way I like it, the music is not great, and having to sit in uncomfortable booths or chairs at tables. The food is never as good as you make, the only thing nice, is they do the dishes. You still have to drive home.
    sorry about the meal brother.

I have wanted to try that place.  Interesting you're in that area.  @northGAcock is in Raleigh too.

I've wanted to try that place, but I don't know now.

I thought Hillsborough BBQ was pretty good, didn't you, @JohnInCarolina ?

Got 4 inches of that white shid up here. I hate snow. Adds a couple challenges to egging I really could do without.

Yukon Ron .. Thanks for the encouragement . Got out this weekend saw one of my best friends and his family , did our annual Christmas . Harvested some ducks this morning; spent some time with my young pup in the blind and managed to put some venison in the freezer this afternoon

It is good that you are doing the mind over matter.
Life does not come with a rewind button. If you spend one day being miserable, that is one day too many. You will be fine.
It is never about what's been done, it is all about what you do next. There is an infinite number of opportunities. Find the next one, and make it a life experience. I had always been an outdoor enthusiast, and I developed a passion for summiting. I went to Thailand, in the Northwest Province Chiang Mai. I summited Doi Inthanon, the highest peak in Thailand. Had a chance to get my head together, meditate and refocus. I made some vows and live by them every minute of everyday. I push every day to the max, and I have never looked back, and have never known life can be so beautiful.
It took guts to do what you did. Don't stop there.
You got this. Start seeing how wonderful this world really is.

I did that earlier in the week. Decided I needed more.  Drove to Firecraft and got some just in case.....

My sister sent me this. It's Paul McCartney's son apparently. (Could be the neighbor kid for all I know) Hopefully he uses it outdoors instead of the kitchen..... =) Cool to see him excited for it

Had the pleasure to break bread with @northGAcock this evening!  He's a class act!  Wished I would have taken pictures.  Egged and wokked Mongolian beef, veggie eggrolls, and an Asian cucumber salad.

Edit: Wife whipped up some chocolate chip cookies and some Friendly's vanilla ice cream!

BTW - Robin saw her vacuum!

@tarheelmatt I've yet to have the pleasure of meeting him, but all the reviews are top notch, plus the work he did around the local floods.  Look forward to making his acquaintance, yours too.
