  •  A bit bummed today, I had to take my favorite goat (a wether) to the auction house this morning.
He had turned into a bully and it was getting out of hand.  I will miss walking with him, he enjoyed a sip of beer as long as it wasn't to hoppy.

Can honestly say, never read that sentence before.  And I read a lot.

I seem to recall that Brent had a favorite goat.

@TN_Egger for a few reasons, I can not get an apple laptop. Primary being that if we log into work and have connectivity/navigation/printing issues, they will not assist and close the ticket immediately. Sucks, but it is what it is. If I was not on call 24/7/365 or I did really carry my work laptop everywhere I went, I would have an Air in a heartbeat.  It just does not make sense for me... unfortunately.

Mark, I ran a windows VM on my MBP.  Really only stopped because there are so many RDC servers I can jump on.

My 2010 Macbook Err needs another battery.  I really only use it for surfing/posting anymore, and it'd be cheaper to buy a new Chromebook w/Chromecast, or similar.  Only other requirement is that it be a bigger size than my Air, as its just narrow enough to constantly slip down between my thighs (yeah, 1st-World problems), plus my eyes are going and a bigger screen would be good.  A new machine, even if its microsquash vs Mac, would be cheaper than a new battery...

Got up to 43 degrees here, so I put the top down on the convertible!

  • @botch this may sound crazy but check out your local Batteries + Bulbs they do battery replacements on computers and phones pretty inexpensively.

Replacing the battery in you Air/Err will cost you  $70-ish and takes about 15 minutes. Most of that time is just unscrewing/screwing a gazillion (or  a dozen and a half) little screws. Easy peasy.
I left a link in a previous thread  - if you're interested I'll dig up the link and paste it in again.

You should post it next to a plate of food you cooked.  That’d be cool.

Like finding a fiver in your jeans pocket,  a welcome surprise mid-week fixture list. He we go then...

    Tonight :

Palace v Bournemouth.  A return to form for Zaha is welcome.  Bournemouth have stagnated.  It’s a cold Tuesday night in beautiful South London.  0-0

Burnley v Man City.  City need the points, Burnley will be stubborn.  But 2-1 sees the points go back to the Etihad and a flicker of life stays in the title race.

    Tomorrow :

Chelsea v Villa.  Home team missed Abraham up top on Saturday - he might be fit enough for this one,  though.  Villa are the draw specialists - but I think this is a defeat for them  2-1 Chelsea

Leicester v Watford.  Manager-less Watford will get humped.  4-0

Man Utd v Spurs. Jose v Ole - plenty of media chat about this one. Spurs all the way though. 1-0

Southampton v Norwich.  Another relegation six pointer for Saints.  Can they stay on a roll?  Probably. 1-0 Southampton

Wolves v West Ham.  having imported 2 wolves players in to my Fantasy team I am banking on a home win.  Seems probable.  2-0 Wolves.

Liverpool v Everton.  The Merseyside derby and  it is remarkable of the absence of any aggression in the stands. A weird compliment and not reflected on the pitch when things often get heated.   Everton score first against the run of play but lose 3-1.  Silva sacked in the morning.

    Thursday

Sheff Utd v Newcastle.  Dull fest and easy three points for this year’s surprise merchants. 2-0 the Blades.

Arsenal v Brighton.  I will be livid if Arsenal do an Arsenal and collapse to a home defeat to this bunch of shysters.  Ljundberg needs a first win.  2-1 the Gunners.

Ok I need to go back to back to fiddling with a PowerPoint as its working hours.

Other girls may try to take me away
But you know, it's by your side I will stay

There's nothing special about Popeye's chicken sandwich. They are not very good.
Try Hooter's, they have a really good chicken sandwich.

Connecting through Phoenix, so I’ll miss the Popeye’s at the world’s greatest airport, sadly.
