Made a brisket flat over the weekend since I missed National Brisket Day. Wrapped in foil to bring it home with some beef stock and it was my most tender flat yet

Great outcome right there.  When you nail a flat you have really achieved a high level of success.  Congrats.

Found out this morning my neighbor is in the hospital. Had stomachs pain and went to the ER and his small intestine is blocked by a mass. They are waiting for biopsy results but the doctor said he thinks it’s cancer. Really hoping he’s wrong or atleast it was caught early. He’s like 35 with a 3yr old and his wife is 3 months pregnant. Really makes you appreciate the things we take for granted every day.
