About to head into a soup kitchen to serve lunch to the less fortunate as part of my company’s volunteer week.  Then I get to not go back to work so I’ll be heading to the brewery!

Just got back from a long weekend food and brewery trip to NYC with oldest son (31 yrs today).  Great time til the east coast weather and American Airlines got into the mix.  Fortunately after 4 gate changes (LGA) and a head-fake (on the plane-off the plane) landed around 3 hours late.  It had been a long time since I had flown into LGA and it will be even longer til the next time.  Once thru security-no restaurants or bars available.  FWIW-
LGA ——never in my life have I took off from there on time.....and the area around it is a f’n mess. Congrats on surviving!

Novocaine's just beginning to wear off (had a hole drilled in my jaw and a titanium spike hammered in, will soon be sporting a new tooth on the top).  Dang oral-maxillio-facial "doctor" did okay on the dental part, but ripped my upper lip open with a sharp pointy thing (Novocaine didn't numb that far), and it's still bleeding off and on!

That blend caused me to face plant a plate of sushi many years ago.  Wasn’t all that bad though.

@Jeremiah- by chance SRF Black??  Given that is doubtful then given the appropriate respect for this thread I won't ask about the origin.  I have seen boutique butchers in L'ville asking that for choice and inferior trimmed flat cuts (never purchased).  You never know who will bite.
Friggin Texans and SRF in Costco-just venting.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

@lousubcap no these were flats from the same vendor Walmart uses. I can’t remember the name though.

    No pics tonight.  Acqua Al2.

    Carpaccio di Manzo

    Linguine al Vongole. Clams

salted cod and scallops with lobster stock and white wine

    penne alla vodkax2

    deserts

mine was blueberry cheesecake with grated goat cheese.

    Great meal. The intimate atmosphere.

Mitch McConnell arrived just after us and dined in a private room upstairs. Left just ahead of us.

Worst part is matthew bogarted the carpaccio.

Also, our waitress was an actual Italian.  And hot.

They have a sister store in Italy.
