Traditions is about 10-15 minutes from my house. Pass it every day on the way to work.

Just blackstoned a porterhouse to split between my wife and me. Had hash brown casserole and poached eggs along with it. 




And yesterday’s ribs weren’t too bad either.  And yup, that’s an oval Primo. Friend of mine didn’t want it anymore and sold it to me for a hundred bucks. Figured I’d play with it and break it in. It was barely used. Had to improvise and use an old muffin pan as a plate setter. I like the BGE a lot better, but the Primo got the job done. It’ll be good as a backup for big parties if nothing else.

Thx @JRWhitee ! My friend thought she had a BGE. She got it with some sorta monthly healthy eating package she signed up for... never really learned to use it. I was happy to take it off their hands.

Just started watching AB Jamaica episode.  The James Bond intro is worth the price of admission.  Season 4 episode 8 for those with Netflix.

I'm still sad and pissed he ended it.  He put out some of the best educational entertainment on TV.  A guy I'd truly have liked to have a cocktail with.

Just got a new, heavy duty gumbo pot. 

For anyone interested, Webrestaraunt has these on sale right now. The pot is very heavy duty at 6mm thick. Will make a great outdoor boiling or fryer pot as well. The lid is not near as thick as the pot. But it’s only a cover so big deal there. The pot is top notch.
