@CigarCityEgger - I do tune in at the close of the intros and then am always amazed by the performance. Was more entertaining when Chestnut and Kobayashi were competitors. No real challengers now.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.

About 6 weeks ago I filled the sink do dishes. Towards the end I found my Thermapen MK4 in the bottom of the sink, and water literally ran out of it. I let it dry and tried it a couple times in the following days and it would turn on but clearly wasn't working right. Out of pure laziness I left it on the counter until today. The battery was right there, so why not try it. It works!! Hard to believe, but it works well. Hopefully it doesn't rust from the inside out, but at least I have it back for now.
In other happy news, pulled these off minutes before a thunderstorm rolled in. Time to eat and nap!!!!

Well, didn’t get the great money shot I wanted due to a storm rolling through but everyone at the in-laws was a fan of the Blackstone. Smash burgers, Hebrew national jumbo franks, grilled onions, 2 types of potato salad, slaw, macaroni salad, corn on the cob and water melon. I’m stuffed, but there’s still some room for that apple pie on the counter
