    Teriyaki marinated pork tenderloins, smoked with pecan wood at 250 and pulled at 145 IT. Made some Bahn mi sliders with King’s Hawaiian rolls/Asian slaw and sriracha mayo.

    Yum!

    Got home a little while ago from a long weekend spending time with friends and family in Northern VA.

    Took in Dizzy Fest in Manassas on Saturday. This was our second year there.  Had a great time,  @Nature Boy knows how to throw a party.

    Grilled some brats for dinner n chicken for lunches next few days really like the raised direct.

    @pgprescott I haven’t tried this yet, but an idea I had was to place the elevated cooking grid to one side and place my pizza stone or buy a half stone for underneath. Seems like it’d be a decent two zone setup

    Absolutely. I do that sorta thing all the time with https://biggreenegg.com/product/half-moon-raised-grid/

    I’d say a 1/2 stone and the grid would work great. I use my setup to cook proteins and roast veggies (asparagus) at the same time. Or use it to give you a resting area.

    Go for it.

    @WeberWho - full marks for your dad and the business acumen.  And the back-story;
    Better to be lucky than good any day!  Great looking Q source right there.  "Lack of sticks" will not be an excuse for you.

    I wish.  It is my wife's.  I drive an old Nissan Frontier.

    Sybil Luddington, the female Paul Revere? Nah, just the father of a girl who spends every moment not at school, at the barn.  Feeding, mucking, watering, cleaning, training, and then riding with her friends when her chores are done.  Fun watching your kids find and then persue their passion. :)  Sometimes as parents you are blessed and in position to help your children persue them.

    The other day her and her friend didn't even bother with saddles or reins.  Just hopped on and took off for a game of chase/tag around the property.  I need a seatbelt myself.

    @thetrim - I will trust your judgement when you select the brown water pay-off this Dec.  Hope for no injuries but not likely.

    I just pulled these guys from the egg. A little thank you snack for my parents for their donation of lumber this past weekend. The other loin is off to my parents neighbor/family friend that generously offered up his new trailer for transporting wood back to my house.

    Enjoying the supper my gf brought me tonight here at work. Her mom got her one one of those instapots for her birthday and shes been on a roll...which I subsequently encouraged with a cookbook devoted to said instapot.

    Tonight I get "crack chicken"
