We work in radio frequency power equipment like induction welders (misnomer) for the steel tube and pipe industry. It's not pretty and the travel is pretty consistent. It's dirty as hell too.

@mcmac - BC is British Columbia, which when I started was BCTel - now it is TELUS.
Out of college with the last of the two motion Strowger switches, with GTE through the #1EAX, #2EAX, #3EAX, GTD4600 and the GTD5. Based in Brockville Ontario from '71 through '86 (side trips overseas and to Northlake Illinois) been in BC since '86 where I retired in 2002.
Where was your stint as Ops Manager? I see from the everywhere map you are in the PNW now.

@Skiddymarker, I was an Ops Manager for the PNW (Oregon, Washington and Idaho), based out of Oregon. I had a few interactions with TELUS as they were a business partner supporting some or our customers with sites there in BC.
Shortly before I left we were in the process of shutting down one of the bigger GTD5 networks in these parts. Most are going to VoIP products these days as I'm sure you're aware.

Congrats on your retirement in a beautiful part of the world. Love the Canadian Rockies!
I have a few more years before I can join you

I'm an old black man in rural Mississippi Delta bottomland.  I sell BBQ and sauce from my leaky 55 gal. smoker.  About 30 years ago, some white dude in a '62 El Camino stopped by.  At gunpoint, he forced me to give him my secret BBQ sauce recipe, then stole the money from my tin can next to my leaky 55 gal. smoker and sped off.  I have been trying to recover ever since.
I was believing all of that right up to the "62 El Camino" part. Chevy did not mak an El Camino in 1962. I'm guessing you just forgot you secret recipe and trying to blame it on some poor redneck. Nice try.

Wrong, first El Camino was 1959.

I am in charge of Quality Control ar RO. Despite what you have read, RO manufacturers and bags 93% of all lump sold in the US, no matter how fancy the bag it comes in or the 'all natural' name on the bag. The only one we don't make is Cowboy. My primary job is to make sure there is at least one rock in every 9th bag.
