Listening to Agnes Obel right now - appreciate the recommendation. Love the melancholy voice and stings.GrateEggspectations said:
Thanks for the recommendations, Ozzie. Really liked both. The instrumental guitar version, Lumière à l’Aube, was pretty cool.Ozzie_Isaac said:
You might enjoy this album:GrateEggspectations said:Going to see an incredible musician tonight - French-Algerian guitarist Pierre Bensusan. He was the teacher of one of my teachers and is a real musician’s musician. Always puts on an incredible show. Taking my main squeeze and having dinner beforehand.
Album - Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
Two songs you specifically may enjoy are:- Lumiere by Lorien Testard, Alice Duport-Percier
- Lumiere - Lumiere a l'Aube by Lorien Testard
Something about the strings and mood made of thr vocal rendition me think of Agnes Obel. I think I’ve mentioned her in the past. Her album “Aventine” is exceptional, IMO. Love the strings!Liking these exchanges.
Edit: This is a bit out of left field, but if you haven't listened to Joss Stone and you like Blues/Jazz/Soul you may consider giving her a listen.I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

You would be surprised at how expensive those signs are.

If they were bought with taxpayer money I doubt anyone would be surprised how much those signs cost.Gulfcoastguy said:You would be surprised at how expensive those signs are.South of Columbus, Ohio. -
3M holds a patent on the film that is stuck onto the aluminum backing. They are also the only film that meets the reflectivity tests.alaskanassasin said:

I am willing to bet a number of 3M engineers were on the Specification panel that setup the requirements too. Sole source is death to decent prices.Gulfcoastguy said:

Ball Park, how expensive are they? Last set of aluminum signs I ordered (about half that size) with full color prints on each side were $52 a piece if I ordered at least 6.I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.
-
I have been out of the business for several years. The most expensive sign that I paid for was a sign designating that it was an Obama Tiger project. That required 5 individual signs to be mounted on dual posts. I tried to get permission to print it all on a single film and attach it to a single metal sign backing. Denied! Plus I had to post an identical sign on the other side least the public miss that it was a shovel ready project. That basically meant that any of 4 federal agencies could audit my books.

We’re back after the brief sojourn to permit England to book their visit to the US of A next Summer for the footie-fun-fest / fossil fuel burning extravaganza that is the World Cup. Fingers crossed we make it through border control and that the inevitable ICE raids work in our favour. To matters more pressing, Arsenal have usurped the newly wobbly Reds to lead the still embryonic title race. Burnley are on a surge to the bottom, Forest are a shadow of last season’s team, while Villa have sprung to life.
Saturday
Forest vs Chelsea – Big Ange has sucked the life out of Forest and frankly a buoyant Chelsea are really not what he needs. Could he move from vaunted to exiled inside two months? Yep. Fans are proper grumpy about it all. 0-2
Brighton vs Newcastle – neck and neck while separated by 350 miles, which is a long long way over here. There will be goals, there is less likley to be a winner. 2-2
Burnley vs Leeds – too early to declare this a seismic for the relegation spots, but the Clarets really need to tighten up at the back and start scavenging points. The Dirty Leeds feel better postured for survival, but confidence is key. A home win keeps Burnley afloat, a loos could spell a long slow Winter adrift. Nervy 0-0 of no use to anyone.
Palace vs Bournemouth – tighter than a tight thing, that’s got all tight. Very similar seasons that follow very similar coaching blueprints. The Cherries are two points other than the good int eh league, by converting one draw to a victory. Last season the teams played out two 0-0 draws, and to be frank the smart money is on that this time too. Naturally, therefore, I confidently predict a 0-1. And you know why.
Man City vs Everton – better times for the Toffees now, but talisman Grealish can’t play in this match against his parent club. What difference will that make, well 2-0 answers that.
Sunderland vs Wolves – big chance for the Maccems to climb back up the league and sustain their strong start to the season. They were undone by Utd last time out but will have leant from that. Wolves are celebrating back to back draws, that have yielded their entire points haul. Not great. 2-0.
Fulham vs Arsenal – the Gunners are at their typical cross-roads already. A win takes them clear of Liverpool, but you can’t rule out that they find a reason to square the opportunity. Fatigue, injuries, colour of the sky, aa butterfly wing in China? But the Cottagers are not quite at the races this season. 1-2.
Sunday
Spurs vs Villa – An unspursy Spurs sit third and are proving a far more reliable proposition under Thomas Frank. (people with first names as family names are funny, aren’t they?). Big test for newly solid Villa, who essentially failed to appear for the first three game weeks. For them draw will be great news, while Spurs should be taking three points form this type of match to show their top-six credentials. 2-1
Liverpool vs Man United – traditional big match and completely now what Amorim wants after a rare decent performance last time out against Sunderland. Regression to the mean, and despite a mishap along the way it’s 3-1 and the Reds are back in good trim.
Monday,
West Ham vs Brentford - 16th host 19th, so - er, well, maybe a goal would be nice? Perhaps shake hands on the oil nil now and everyone get an early night instead? 0-0.
There you go, cash the pension and stake it all via link available deep in your Junk folder. I’m sure it’ll pay out, just as described in faulty English and various fonts.

I thought maybe because the fridge gets too cold in the garage so he puts in a heating pad so stuff doesn't freeze in the fridge. but i do admit to confusion.
(wonder if this will post).~~

heres a video and the kit for about 30 bucks, looks pretty simple. my kitchen fridge is 1970s and works, these new fridges dont workfukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it -
You can buy garage ready freezer and refers if anyone is in the marketSouth of Columbus, Ohio.
-
I am going to theorize that the thermostat is in the refrigerator portion of the fridge and it gets its cold air from the freezer portion so if the ambient temperature is cold enough that the refrigerator doesn’t call for the freezer to cool, the groceries in the freezer which should be held around zero begin to thaw. By placing the heating mat in the refrigerator it will warm the space enough to call for the freezer to come on and cool the refrigerator there for keeping the freezer functioningSouth of Columbus, Ohio.
-
Another option would be to place a inkbird in the freezer portion and set it to zeroSouth of Columbus, Ohio.

I bought 4 of these monitors, planning to put one in the hot tub water too.South of Columbus, Ohio.
