@kl8ton - you have no clue about old. (That is a good place to be.) You will experience the gradual decline in most life things but you will also occasionally experience what I term the prompt drop which will happen at some point. I have found research papers that support such a phenomenon but ...so what!! It happens.
I now need to got out and mow my lawn. And bark at the moon.

My understanding is that the Zoom sessions generally happen in a coordinated and advertised fashion, thus ensuring availability of participants. @lousubcap usually polishes the brass and alerts all prior to such gatherings. -

As many here are aware, back in 2020-'21 the Covid lockdown made for great Friday evening Zoom participation given the lack of other options. Scheduled and happened every Friday. Start times (EDT/EST) were either 9 PM or 5 PM if enabling those across the pond to participate at a reasonable hour (which they definitely did). They routinely ran until the early Saturday AM.
This carried on from April '20 thru May '21 at which time the Covid confining restraints were eased up and life slowly returned to normal. At that point the continuous 54 week Friday Zoom's (courtesy of @JohnInCarolina) wound to a halt.
Since then random and advertised Forum Zoom sessions have been scheduled with decent albeit declining participation.
Survey says they are an evening well spent. But we have lost many regular Zoom participants over the duration. We have moved the day to Thursday and offered other perks, FWIW.
For me, building forum participation (all you great cooks posting stand alone threads...) will generate more interest.
Yes, we can always benefit from a full-up forum Zoom session and I will gladly facilitate or toss the keys to someone else.
Some of the most entertaining and hilarious evenings were enjoyed in those Zoom sessions. They were a great antecdote for the challenges of that time in history. As you can tell from the above-this Friday is quite pedestrian. National Bourbon Day 🥃 Saturday will help facilitate ignoring all the "I me" events of the day.
Sunday will be a great celebration of Father's Day! Can't get here quick enough.
