They talked me into a tankless, and I need a couple other things to meet current code.  Told me UT had the hardest water in the US, and current water heater tanks only last 2 to 4 years, getting an 8-year warrantee with the tankless.  Hearing the final quote that was 2.5 times the 3 quotes I had gotten over the phone, was just kind've an unexpected punch.
Mine hasn't failed yet, but it's making more and more of a racket every time it kicks on, decided to be prudent; they'll be here Monday.

The drone is a very cool toy...  Not sure I should call it a toy, it was an impulse buy (discounted at Costco 🤷‍♂️), I was planning to fly it in the backyard but the range and picture quality is mind blowing! Definitely more fun than a water heater 🤣😂

It can be very useful. The agency that I used to work for had one back in 2014 or earlier. It’s great to look at a project from overhead and spot various “things “ that could possibly result in fines.

    Fresh climbing gear.

The first time I went top-roping, my very experienced friend and I were hiking to the base, and he pointed out another climber who had tossed his rope into the dirt vice on a tarp. After we passed he said “Never climb with someone who treats their gear like that.” Those words have stuck with me for almost 40 years now.

I got the Mini 4 Pro, it had a 200$ discount, I think they are about to release the Mini 5 Pro.

I am thinking of returning this one and getting the new one when it gets released but this one is almost perfect…

  • I may have (or am sure I have?) told this story here before. Thr fact-checkers among us would know. (You know who you are!)

When I played little league baseball as a young lad, there was one night where the opposing team’s coach broke out fireworks to put on a show for both teams after the game. She assembled all the players in a large circle, lit the fuse, then ran to the perimeter of said circle. As the fuse was burning down, the fireworks, which were on a steal in the ground, fell over and fired. As luck would have it, it struck the very coach who had set it up and lit it, creating a huge burn on the chest of her uniform. She was okay, but there were understandably some panicked moments as it happened. Surreal.

Thank you! Windex will no doubt make an absolute fortune on this purchase.

I would be lying if I said a large proportion of my day didn’t go towards picking up toys. They’re great kids though. As we get the living room established, we will probably encourage them to make more use of the basement.

Proud of you for the coffee table. We can’t have one because my DH thinks any flat surface should be a place to leave stuff and I can’t tolerate stuff out of place.
