I think Ozzie is just priming the pump for a Friday night shindig. I am sure @RRP Ron will post a few pics
    What pump?

Bet you need a big powerful unit?
Tiny yards and no hedges here, just two small evergreen trees. Never had a hedge trimmer until last year, got a mini 17in corded one for peanuts, okay for my need.

If you can accept corded, there are lots of advantages, IMO. I use two - one small, cheap one (great for straight-arming in hard to reach places) and one longer, slightly extendable cheap one. 😁No concern over battery charging and battery degradation, and a hell of a lot cheaper!

Also switched to corded lawn mower, edge trimmer and pole saw, couldn't be happier. The only gas yard tools are snowblower and generator (glad it's still in box btw  ;) ) . Speaking of cord, you need to teach your B-I-L cord management  =)

I purchased a couple Caraway baking sheets awhile back and found them fantastic to use. Decided to go all in on their baking goods and added the 11 piece set. With some creative stacking I was able to fit the two extra sheets in to their storage system.

On the left: my favourite made in USA Craftsman groove joint pliers, love it except for the uncomfortable handles.

On the right: Couldn't resist the new pair for 12 loonies on sale, made in China of course. Pretty sure I paid more for the solo made in USA one on the left 40 years ago! Wonder how much will it cost when they bring production back to good ol' USA  =)

Interesting.  I bought this three-plier set somewhere around ten years ago, they auto-adjust for rough width, but it looks like Craftsman has dropped that feature (mine included yellow vinyl jaw covers which were great for working on chromed plumbing fixtures):

Wonder if that design had some wear/age-related issues?

@botch With jaw covers and fine-tooth adjustment I'd say yours is meant for more delicate applications. Perhaps the fine-tooth wear out eventually; the deep channels on mine are virtually indestructible. Using a kitchen faucet as an example, yours is for work above the counter whereas mine is the bottom dweller  ;)

You sure about that? We had some in the nineties and they failed to catch after a bit of use.

You bought a set despite having the better, made in U.S.A. version?

This is the tool you actually need.

This doesn’t explain why they failed but it is interesting that robo grip was the best selling tool of all time for sears.

I am not; could've bought them, who knows when?
I never used them a lot, and now at my age there's no way my grip could strip even fine teeth.  They still work great on chrome faucet nozzles, though.
As @Canugghead mentioned, when work is required "below-counter" I now know it's better for me to hire the job out.

How was it? I'm headed to Ottawa in a couple weeks for our granddaughters birthday. I can't seem to find Basque's anywhere lately and might pick up a couple bags of this if it's decent.

I have a couple of the IMX Pros. Looking forward to seeing how much more sensitive the NRX series is.

@CTMike I have not bought any yet. It's decent according to Naked Whiz's review, a recommended buy. Quantities and price may change two weeks down the road.

Check out this Business Costco Centre in the Ottawa area, I believe they carry Basques Nature's Own year round. I saw two full pallets at the one near me recently, $19.99 IIRC, price posted online is higher because it includes delivery (I think minimum purchase $250 for restaurant folks).

I am a loyal burner of Rockwood.  I have chased Wicked Good before Rockwood arrived and others in the Lower 48.  However, the GWN Maple offerings are definitely worth the annual one-off buy, except that Maple Leaf cannot be found south of the border. Basques can be a decent find in the Lower 48 if you have patience.
I will forever owe @CTMike for the bag of Maple Leaf I received (surreptitiously traveled I'm sure), but for those GWN connoisseurs, while it  was everything I expected flavour (nod) wise it was comparable in that regard to Basques which can be found in the Lower 48 and even at a moderately decent price point.
I will say that the Maple Leaf is the hottest burning lump I have ever used.  The aroma of either is different and noticeable and quite enjoyable.  FWIW-

True in my experience. I’m there every few weeks. Saw some on Tuesday.
