Replacing our 25 year old roof. Surprisingly not too much sticker shock for my preferred Malarkey Vista class 4 shingles. I mean, it’s still ridiculously expensive but whatever. It’s dumb.

Proud of you for the coffee table. We can’t have one because my DH thinks any flat surface should be a place to leave stuff and I can’t tolerate stuff out of place.
Thank you. The struggle is real. The only reason this works is that I am a stickler about such things and insist on compliance. 🙃

I agree with you in that things have places so when you next need the thing you know where it resides.

A friend of mine had a partial solution to clutter. He (that is, his understanding wife) let two rooms get quite cluttered up: "Junk A" and "Junk B" but the rest of the house had to stay decluttered. Worked for them, but they didn't have kids.
Me, I've got a clutter monster here. I said that I'd trade it for a cookie monster, said it too many times I guess. Now I have both.

My wife is an interior designer. People ask me what her style is, I reply clutter…..she doesn’t like that answer very much

My 25 y/o lawn tractor has bitten the dust so its replacement arrived yesterday. Before anyone comments, I bought the Tesla in 2023 before Musk revealed his true colors. Thankfully no one has vandalized it yet, so far.

I have a Kubota zero turn, love it.  Took a few days to get used to but now it’s so easy and it cut my mowing down by half compared to the lawn tractor

As a new diver - this is a very expensive hobby!  lol.  Thankfully 3mm is all I need for where I am currently diving.

I'm not exactly a new diver, received my original cert back in 1978, just getting back in to it, but I get your point. I haven't told SWMBO how much everything has cost, her words were:

"I hate to say this but I don't care what it costs, I just need to know that you'll be as safe as possible."

I took that as free rein to buy some pretty high end stuff. 🤣

They talked me into a tankless, and I need a couple other things to meet current code.  Told me UT had the hardest water in the US, and current water heater tanks only last 2 to 4 years, getting an 8-year warrantee with the tankless.  Hearing the final quote that was 2.5 times the 3 quotes I had gotten over the phone, was just kind've an unexpected punch.
Mine hasn't failed yet, but it's making more and more of a racket every time it kicks on, decided to be prudent; they'll be here Monday.
Just got my latest gas bill for the period of May 23 to June 23 (not quite fully with the new tankless WH) and with summer coming on I'm doing more Egg grilling/cold sammiches, but my monthly gas bill was: $11.02

I did a quick calculation, and that tankless water heater will pay itself off in
Okay, I'm not going to live that long.  But, hey...   :|

According to the bill, just over twice as much from this year ($0.75 vs $0.36/day)
And, since you made me look at the bill again, I paid $3.21 for the actual gas, and $7.81 for Basic Service Fee, UT sales tax, and Municipal Energy tax.  Guess we gotta pay for Gov cox's "State Day of Prayer and Fasting" tomorrow, 29 Jun, to get more rain... (I'm not making that up)

Darn @botch you should have told us sooner, I have already eaten today. If you don’t get more rain you can blame me 😂
