Friday and pi day-gotta be good. Besides it's also steak and air start day. Many options for celebration!Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.

It is Friday and it is pretty quiet now. Unscheduled meeting with the granddaughters (ages 5,3 and 2) and parents at a new local tap room with food earlier this PM. Entertaining-spin 'em up and then declare victory.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. Just saw this on another site, worth pasting:
Anthony Bourdain (sexiest thing you can do on a date)...“...you learn a lot about someone when you share a meal together. If your date makes the experience uptight and restrictive, well, the sex is going to be horrible too. ...I don't have much patience for people who are self-conscious about the act of eating, and it irritates me when someone denies themselves the pleasure of a bloody hunk of steak or a pungent French cheese because of some outdated nonsense about what's appropriate or attractive. Stop worrying about how your breath's going to smell, whether there's beurre blanc on your face, or whether ordering the braised pork belly will make you look fat. Eating with abandon couldn't be more of a turn-on: it shows that you're comfortable with yourself.A perfect date is with a person who eats without fear, prejudice, or concerns about his or her appearance. I remember one of my first dates with my wife (Ottavia): She ordered a six-pound lobster. I sat there, enraptured, watching her suck every bit of meat from it—she got a standing ovation from the floor staff. She's the kind of woman who will order filet mignon as an appetizer followed by a T-bone steak. Her fearless, open-minded approach to food is completely alluring. For a dinner date, I eat light all day to save room, then I go all in: I choose this meal and this order, and I choose you, the person across from me, to share it with. There's a beautiful intimacy in a meal like that. It's about exploration and taste. And kissing after dinner. And maybe there's a little wine and curry on your breath...and that's nice.”
And Botch here:
One thing I learned eventually is getting your date to participate in the cooking, was one hell of a good move. My eventual favorite was making ravioli, or other stuffed pasta. If you and your date were both rolling it out (one arm feeding the dough, one arm cranking, one arm catching/cutting the sheets, and one dusting), and then stuffing/folding/pinching them together, well, that always led to an enjoyable dinner, and beyond. My bit of wisdom from my 60's..."Old age is a thing.. last night I was in bed for 20 min when I heard the pizza guy cough. Then I remembered I came to my room for my wallet."

I appreciate your posts @Canugghead. This place has somewhat turned into a ghost town. Friday nights used to be wild as you know.South of Columbus, Ohio.

Rolling in with no oil change stories or anything remotely captivating as noted above.
Life support is where this forum is at but it has been there for awhile.
I don't have a topic at hand that would energiz(s)e this forum as I have a lawn.
But late on a Friday night I am hopeful that the less senior members will get this place rolling Saturday.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint. -
Somewhat of an oil change story. My adult daughter’s car has been acting up a bit lately with the check engine light on. I had her take it to AutoZone and get the codes read. Codes read something about her turbo wastegate and an oil pressure sensor. She had a mobile mechanic come and take a look at it. Long story short, the turbo was an easy fix. On the other hand, I found out it has been over a year since she had an oil change and there was barely any oil in the engine. I do tell her to go get it done every few months. Guess she doesn’t listen very well.Las Vegas, NV

Worst part - his father was a mechanic.

Point being...may want to check the specs and be aware that the engine may also be an oil consumer.Large BGE

Rains, rain lots of rain. Been pretty steady since Sunday with 6.7" of rain since then and more thru Sunday. Ohio River is estimated to top out at 35.5 feet (23 feet above normal pool) on Wednesday and that's 12 feet into flood category. Lots of damage when it gets that high.
For today (Friday)-SOSDD but headed out for a few adult beverages in around an hour.
Stay dry out there.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint. -
Hope you’re not in the predicted flood path, Frank. Quite the weather you’ve been having. Those hail balls were unreal.

Getting ready to watch some great DVR material; F1 FP-1 and 2 and then the Masters. After that I will catch up the broadcasts recently and currently recording.

That is a sweet banquet setting...^^^^.
Besides that-SOSDD now. Good adult beverage gathering with son and DIL a couple of hours ago. Pretty pedestrian weekend on the horizon besides engaging with the grands (ages 2, 4, 6 yo) Sunday AM.
Happy Great Friday-

Slow go this evening. A familiar trend. Been raining for most of the day. How fun!
Will enjoy some brown water and try not to venture close to escape velocity this evening. But...
