Friday and pi day-gotta be good.  Besides it's also steak and air start day.  Many options for celebration!   =)

It is Friday and it is pretty quiet now.  Unscheduled meeting with the granddaughters (ages 5,3 and 2) and parents at a new local tap room with food earlier this PM.  Entertaining-spin 'em up and then declare victory.   B)

So, for something completely different:  I played slushpump from gradeschool thru college jazz band, and this guy's skills are phenomenal!  Props to the US Army Band for hiring this guy.

I appreciate your posts @Canugghead. This place has somewhat turned into a ghost town. Friday nights used to be wild as you know.

Rolling in with no oil change stories or anything remotely captivating as noted above.
Life support is where this forum is at but it has been there for awhile.
I don't have a topic at hand that would energiz(s)e this forum as I have a lawn.
But late on a Friday night I am hopeful that the less senior members will get this place rolling Saturday.

Somewhat of an oil change story. My adult daughter’s car has been acting up a bit lately with the check engine light on. I had her take it to AutoZone and get the codes read. Codes read something about her turbo wastegate and an oil pressure sensor. She had a mobile mechanic come and take a look at it. Long story short, the turbo was an easy fix. On the other hand, I found out it has been over a year since she had an oil change and there was barely any oil in the engine. I do tell her to go get it done every few months. Guess she doesn’t listen very well.

Ouch. Hope there hasn’t been damage.

Friend of mine in high school blew the engine in the Corolla he inherited from his father because he let the oil run entirely dry. Worst part - his father was a mechanic.

Not sure of your particular situation, but I have a MR2 with a turbo and wastegate.  The engine is designed to consume oil.  There is a warning light on the dash that indicates when you need to top up the oil (not to be confused with a low oil pressure warning light, which it also has).

Point being...may want to check the specs and be aware that the engine may also be an oil consumer.

Rains, rain lots of rain.  Been pretty steady since Sunday with 6.7" of rain since then and more thru Sunday.  Ohio River is estimated to top out at 35.5 feet (23 feet above normal pool) on Wednesday and that's 12 feet into flood category.  Lots of damage when it gets that high.
For today (Friday)-SOSDD but headed out for a few adult beverages in around an hour.
    Stay dry out there.

  • Hope you’re not in the predicted flood path, Frank. Quite the weather you’ve been having. Those hail balls were unreal.

Getting ready to watch some great DVR material; F1 FP-1 and 2 and then the Masters.  After that I will catch up the broadcasts recently and currently recording.
Slow Friday night-like most these days.

That is a sweet banquet setting...^^^^.
Besides that-SOSDD now.  Good adult beverage gathering with son and DIL a couple of hours ago.  Pretty pedestrian weekend on the horizon besides engaging with the grands (ages 2, 4, 6 yo) Sunday AM.
    Happy Great Friday-

Slow go this evening.  A familiar trend.  Been raining for most of the day.  How fun!
Will enjoy some brown water and try not to venture close to escape velocity this evening.  But...
    Happy Friday!

Lots of rain here too, Cap. Surprising, given we were recently facing snowstorms. Grass is greening up nicely, which is always most satisfactory.

    Cheers.
