Something I saw on another forum; Friday-worthy.

I mowed the lawn today, and after doing so

I sat down and had a cold beer.

The day was really quite beautiful, and the drink facilitated some deep thinking.

My wife walked by and asked me what I was doing,

and I said, "Nothing."

The reason I said "nothing" instead of saying "just thinking" is because she then would have asked, "About what?"

At that point I would have had to explain that men are deep thinkers about various topics, which would lead to other questions.

Finally I pondered an age old question: Is giving birth more painful than getting kicked in the nuts?

Women always maintain that giving birth is way more painful than a guy getting kicked in the nuts, but how could they know?

Well, after another beer, and some more heavy deductive thinking, I have come up with an answer to that question.

Getting kicked in the nuts is more painful than having a baby, and even though I obviously couldn't really know, here is the reason for my conclusion:

A year or so after giving birth, a woman will often say, "It might be nice to have another child."

But you never hear a guy say, "You know, I think I would like another kick in the nuts."

I rest my case.

Time for another beer. Then maybe a nap.

Since it is Friday- A great evening with DIL, son and some excellent adult beverages. Sorted out how to lose $$ on the Kentucky Derby tomorrow and still feel good about it. Skin in the game is what makes it worthwhile. Go baby, Go. 🏇

Gotta make an airport pick up in a couple of hours. So the Friday fun times are on hold, not that a non airport trip would change the evening much. Fuel loading is on hold but later this PM holds promise.

Fuel loaded, flight plan approved and now in LEO. Too much on the plate Saturday for escape velocity but tonight rounded into a nice evening which I did not see coming.

Mother Nature has been kind. Rain, some thunder, lighting and big bad wolf wind but well under the high-drama weather guessers predictions. Rolling into Saturday looking for a great couple of days.

All of my employees are in place. Even though it is memorial Day weekend I was able to enjoy an evening with my family. I am counting it as a win. My wife and I were each on calls with management at our business. But neither of us had to go in.

yeah I understand that. Just sayin' that I popped in for a while to see in anyone else had a similar thought. they didn't. no harm no foul. Spent the time instead cleaning up the garage and starting to pack up my egg stuff. Just the light stuff. Leave the CI for another day.

I like this. I’ve occasionally popped into the speakeasy (I got a rare extra key) but never saw anyone visit either.
Maybe we can try it again next Friday, and if no one shows up you could clean my garage, I’d be okay with that (I’d make you a sammich with whatever leftovers I have).

we have a hanging bell sand casted as a fish. hard to describe. I gave it to my mom, and it's back with me since she died a bunch of years ago. We put it out each spring for the summer. Except for this summer, just can't find it. Not in the garage, I know that now, but where it is has my wife and I puzzled. But the garage is cleaner now

I got one of the BGE rain caps early on and it just works. Would also use it to keep sauce from congealing in winter cooks.

Actually saw a couple of our species about that wide today. Painful and ugly with a capital U.
As a follow-on moment of enlightenment (it is Friday); I am convinced that mirrors in one's own home have become an optional feature. Otherwise how could anyone leave the four walls intending to inflict pain on others?
