Hey @Battleborn, I saw on the news the LV police bought a Boston Dynamics robot dog, to clear out standoff folks, etc.  Are you going to apply as a "robot handler"?  (that would be so much fun!)

Are they just putting tally marks on that board?  Is that how it is done there?

its probably just put in a box and hand counted, there was only 6 people split evenly between trump and harris. the town used to cater it with a hired chef, champagne, coffee etc, but i think they just bring desserts now. social event of the year =) the dogs voted for trump

I am kind of curious about those of you who decided to vote today, as opposed to voting early.  I'm not sure I understand the decision to wait in long lines, unless maybe your boss gives you time off for it.

No early voting in my state other than absentee ballots for certain specific reasons. Usually bosses give you some slack about slipping off and voting.

Voted an hour after the polls opened this morning and it took less than 10 minutes start to finish. Might have been lucky on the timing, but I can't imagine voting early would have saved me any time. I realize my experience may not be typical.

Harder to sign up for early voting and remember to drop off/mail in the ballot.

I like the pomp and circumstance of voting on the day-of.  In and out in 10 minutes.  Took longer to walk back to my car and get my car registration to prove the correct address.  My drivers license is for at a different address than my voter registration.

In my area there are not long lines or delays to contend with, additionally my polling station is only about a 1/2 mile away, so no inconveniences with in-person voting.  Also get a cool "I Voted Today" sticker!

I get up to 4 hours of admin leave.  Also, MD uses schools as polling locations (so SWMBO Jr gets to complain that all the public school kids get the day off, while she's going in), so no locations really attract huge numbers of voters and crazy lines, certainly not when I was there at 7:30 this morning.  Have to go to the office anyway on Tuesdays, it was probably 15 minutes, including the walk from the parking lot in.
