From looking at the forum post resurrections, I’d venture to say that someone was “tore up from the floor up” last night.

Me looking at the forum this morning…

Ozzie was on a bender! I haven’t seen anyone this wasted since Robert Downey Junior’s performance in Less Than Zero.DoubleEgger said:From looking at the forum post resurrections, I’d venture to say that someone was “tore up from the floor up” last night."I've made a note never to piss you two off." - Stike

Can't find the exotics thread so posting here, helped a friend tune up this '50s vintage Craftsman machine. Winter will be here before you know it . . .

I see what you did there. I used to design part of fracking rigs, the power and transmission portion, not the pump or any of that stuff. All the literature and studies say it is safe and doesn’t cause earthquakes 🤓alaskanassasin said:Hook_emHornsfan_74 said:Just had a 5.1 earthquake out here in west Texas. Craziness.

Yeah we keep having them more frequently. “Experts” out here are saying they have have to do with all the disposal wells out here. 🤷🏼♂️Ozzie_Isaac said:

I, personally, have seen enough anecdotal evidence that I think there is probably a more than reasonable chance there is a correlation. However, I also think they are fairly benign and low energy. I am not even an armchair expert though. Just a guy thinking through the mechanics of the entire process. I also think the tradeoff is worth an occasional small tremor.Hook_emHornsfan_74 said:

@Ozzie_Isaac for sure. We have definitely gotten used to them, that's for sure.Midland, TX XLBGE

Well, there are no faults in the area according to USGS, but there's a huge, recently built network of seismic monitoring that UT school of geology built and monitors and collaborates with oil companies on along with mapping injection wells, etc.THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER

Chasing my tail. Half my house has power, other half doesn’t. Seem to have lost a leg from the city side

Weather channel app shows no rain for a hundred mile radius of the house and yet, it’s been raining all morning.Keep up the quality work.
-
Radar has gone to ****. I used to be able to farm around pockets of rain using radar, about 3 years ago everyone went to a new pixelated format or view that is basically useless. Could be rain could be clouds who the heck knows.DoubleEgger said:Weather channel app shows no rain for a hundred mile radius of the house and yet, it’s been raining all morning.Keep up the quality work.South of Columbus, Ohio. -
Perhaps aviation weather might be a bit more useful. I don't know, just speculating here, and don't have any links to share. Worth a try, though. I've heard that XM weather is good for that sort of thing. No personal experience with it.

Usairnet.com used to have great radar but they dropped it for some reason. Great suggestion though, I still use it for wind speed when planning to spray.Corv said:Perhaps aviation weather might be a bit more useful. I’d rather deal with a crappy app over XM. Lol. Life is too short to play the “threaten cancellation” game with them every year.

i still depend on my vhf marine radio in the boat. the buoy reports are always accurate. my phone was meant for rock skipping

Stopped by a grocer we don't normally visit for a gallon of milk. Unplanned purchases, Traveller bought on a whim, Toasted was under $50 so couldn't say no.

Funny, as I had understood that meteorologists generally overestimate the probability of precipitation due to the fact that they’d rather the target audience be pleasantly surprised by lack of rain than the opposite.DoubleEgger said:Weather channel app shows no rain for a hundred mile radius of the house and yet, it’s been raining all morning.Keep up the quality work. -
Packing for a trip to Park City and a 430am flight. Don’t often where cold stuff so trying to remember to check all my pockets in my jackets. Don’t need the TSA finding a knife or Saturday night special. This is how people fly into Mexico and accidentally have a few cartridges or an 8-ball and honestly don’t remember having them on them.

Or an 8 ball lol

It's too bad it's a limited time thing. We stocked up before they sold out everywhere around here."The pig is an amazing animal. You feed a pig an apple and it makes bacon. Let's see Michael Phelps do that" - Jim Gaffigan
