Meiers in Michigan had some good prices on bourbon
$45 for Barrel Bourbon and $35 for the Wilderness Trace store pick

-
$35 is a great price for a WT store pick. $25 more here in Houston. Great drinking too!LBGE, 28” BS, Weber Kettle, HCI 7.8 SE Texas

I'm going to be in Nashville TN this weekend ... any chance I'll find Eagle Rare there, any advice?Napoleon Prestige Pro 665, XL BGE, Lots of time for BBQ!

There's always a chance and the further from the distillery in Frankfort, KY the better are your chances. If it's a truly "gotta have" I'm sure there are stores that will have it at secondary market prices. FWIW-Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.

@legume yes, the dangers of dipping into someone else's stash. i think it was a deliberate plant.
Also, currently drinking all the bourbon. So if I get rowdy tonight, forgive me.I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

$130 for eagle rare is a bigger markup than electricity in Texas.
We hardly see any BT brands here, except BT, but I lucked into some Col Taylor single barrel for $69 and picked up three.THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER -
@Legume- Now that buy is a steal at twice the price. Congrats.Legume said:$130 for eagle rare is a bigger markup than electricity in Texas.

Yup. I'm assuming a paid way too much, but I've been looking for it, for 8 months now. Given I'm paying $200 a dinner out here, I figured if I paid a few too many dollars, it won't make much of a difference on the overall tab for this trip. Lol.TechsasJim said:

Just a casual observation, the people that moan the loudest about the price of groceries seem to spend the most on whiskey.
...(for effect)THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER -
Approximately 18 pours per bottle. Wine only has 4, beer is only 1. Most I’ve spent breaks out to about $22 a pour. That’s MSRP because I won’t pay secondary. I’ve had bottles of wine where the glasses were $100 or more each……it’s all about perspectiveLegume said:Just a casual observation, the people that moan the loudest about the price of groceries seem to spend the most on whiskey.

I like the observation. I will say this, I get a helluva lot more enjoyment from a glass of bourbon than I do a slice of bread.Legume said:Just a casual observation, the people that moan the loudest about the price of groceries seem to spend the most on whiskey.
