$35 is a great price for a WT store pick.    $25 more here in Houston.   Great drinking too!

There's always a chance and the further from the distillery in Frankfort, KY the better are your chances.  If it's a truly "gotta have" I'm sure there are stores that will have it at secondary market prices.  FWIW-

@legume yes, the dangers of dipping into someone else's stash.  i think it was a deliberate plant.

Also, currently drinking all the bourbon.  So if I get rowdy tonight, forgive me.

$130 for eagle rare is a bigger markup than electricity in Texas.

We hardly see any BT brands here, except BT, but I lucked into some Col Taylor single barrel for $69 and picked up three.

@Legume- Now that buy is a steal at twice the price.  Congrats.

Yup. I'm assuming a paid way too much, but I've been looking for it, for 8 months now. Given I'm paying $200 a dinner out here, I figured if I paid a few too many dollars, it won't make much of a difference on the overall tab for this trip. Lol.

Just a casual observation, the people that moan the loudest about the price of groceries seem to spend the most on whiskey.

Approximately 18 pours per bottle. Wine only has 4, beer is only 1. Most I’ve spent breaks out to about $22 a pour. That’s MSRP because I won’t pay secondary. I’ve had bottles of wine where the glasses were $100 or more each……it’s all about perspective

I like the observation.   I will say this, I get a helluva lot more enjoyment from a glass of bourbon than I do a slice of bread.
