Depends on the day. One of my faves is a little Canadian-made 5watt all-tube.

Did you lean towards acoustic or electric drumsets? Did you play for fun? In bands?

Acoustic, Gretsch kits. I mainly did project work, but was in a couple bands but preferred to just get a couple buddies together and mess around. Had some recordings but they got lost when a laptop bit the dust.

Very cool. I have owned some Gretsch guitars. Acoustic drums can’t be beat (no pun intended). I have an energetic almost 4yo son, and I was thinking of getting him a small kit in the coming year.

If you lived closer, I would have suggested we jam.🤘

I would plug that in the driveway or parking lot without a second thought. Since I was old enough to drive I've kept a plug kit in the car and truck.

That product has worked well for me. The fumes from it are strong, due to that I'd never use it indoors.

I have used it on the rusted suspension bolts under a 4X4 that wouldn’t budge with a breaker bar. Soak it heavily overnight and the next day success.

New saw. MS261C with a 20” bar. Computer controlled carb. It’s a pro saw and should last me a lifetime.

Definitely worth a shot. I've used this on salt water fishing reels, corroded plumbing connections and automobiles. Pretty much any time I need help to break connections apart or in the reel space, just to disrupt the salt influence.

I got my spray cans at Academy.

Soak it with PB Blaster for a week or two them hit it with some heat.

That’s the Thornbucker in the bridge position. Lots of videos of the pickup online. I’ve owned a few HSS Strats and like the versatility.

I've always used 3M's "Liquid Wrench" but that was years decades ago and I don't even know if its still available.
Having replaced a U-joint, several shocks and an entire exhaust system (twice) on late-70's Fords, I've never felt so liberated as when I finally climbed the ladder enough, to have more-skilled folks do my repairs.

I would soak it with pb then use a torch and heat up the hinge. Heat both sides and you should be able to work it loose. You may have to tap the hinges with a small hammer

How did that heavy pit door get stuck open? It looks like 3/8" thick steel. From current angle, it looks like it would have been defying the laws of gravity! Is there a prop rod or a catch? Did you check that? Maybe the prop rod is holding it up.

@kl8ton mostly my fault. A swarm of not so friendly bees decided to live there and we had to have it removed. Well I got absent minded and left it open a tad bit longer than I probably should have. I don't use it much if at all since I mostly use my Egg. It is made of steel and her father had it made out of steel casing. Sadly there isn't a catch. That lid is a work out to open and close.

You could always cut/grind the welds and start over. A local welding shop would have her rocking and rolling in no time and could probably install a prop rod or catch so it didn't come down on your fingers.

Can you drive the hinge pins out? Air hammer? If you can get them out, you could clean them up well and put some never-seize on them.

Any way you slice it, you are going to have to get aggressive with it. It looks too rusted for penetrating oil, in my opinion.
