If you remove too much material from one side, the mower will rattle and it will eventually destroy the mower (crack the frame, damage the axle). One way to do it is to apply the same number of strokes on each side when sharpening the blade but when doing it with a power tool it is easy to remove too much.
I used to borrow the balancer from a neighbour (now moved to another neighborhood).

@Ozzie_Isaac, @paqman, I balance mine as well using that same one above. I honestly “think” I can tell the difference in the vibration either push or lawn tractor. Pretty easy to unbalance them with an angle grinder.Columbus, Ohio--A Gasser filled with Matchlight and an Ugly Drum.

Youtube is spamming me this morning 🤔paqman said:@alaskanassasin I learned the hard way the first time I serviced it. The mechanic gave me a good trick. Remove the spark plug wire and then pull the crank slowly until you feel the most resistance. At this point, the valves are closed and the oil isn’t going anywhere when you turn it on its side.

At least you made it to the first round. Baseball fan here, and my team (St. Louis) has dug a hole so deep I have pretty much written off the entire season.FrostyEgg said:
Hockey fan here, but it's hard to watch when my team goes out first round just like every other year ever.Battleborn said:I know there are not a lot of hockey fans here, but that was a hell of game. Made even better with John’s beer. I can go to bed happy tonight.
Shoutout to my neighbor who is a Leaf's fan, made it out of the first round! (and then lost but shhhh)I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

The mighty Eagles are popping over to see you, in fact the charming fishing villages known as Chicago and Detroit.
I looked on my phone and both places look fairly close to you all, about half an inch on Googlemaps.
To fully appreciate the experience of a UK soccer-ball matchday the following are pre-requisites;- the stadium is virtually impossible to find or reach by any known mode of transport
- tickets are expensive and rendered entirely redundant by the 'e-gates' powered by Windows 95
- purchase a replica shirt, have your hilarious nickname emblazoned across the back, claim your year of brith is 1969 and have the last two digits added for solid gold comic effect, and most of all gain 30 lbs in weight before you wear it to the game
- it will rain and be about 20 degrees colder than then surrounding area, do not bring a coat under any circumstances
- consume vast quantities of beer before the match, arrive late and for the entire game shout things of extreme vitriol to no-one in particular
- queue for most of the second half in agony as the 8 pints of lager need to be released and there is only one functional toilet
- mercifully fall asleep for remaining portion of second half, then trudge away claiming myriad corruption and conspiracies theories
- buy a kebab for the journey home.

Sitting in a hotel room in Houston watching it rain. Mother’s Day Wish granted, Ed Sheeran concert with the kids. Went browsing at 2 different specs locations for bourbon, nothing out of the ordinary. Also did the natural history museum

Did you go to the concert too? My wife and daughter went to see him years ago, he was touring with James Blunt. I didn't join them but they really enjoyed it.ColbyLang said:Sitting in a hotel room in Houston watching it rain. Mother’s Day Wish granted, Ed Sheeran concert with the kids. I did. She and I had seen him with James Blunt as well. He’s an incredibly talented artist. Last night was with 70,000 of our closest friends in NRG stadium. I paid for first level lower bowl seats so the kids could enjoy…….my 6 year old passed out halfway thru

Checking the yield on my homemade mosquito trap.

-
Based on the lack (now jinxed) mosquito sightings here (akin to the drought in exotic car sightings) I would expect your yield should be around zero per hour. But perhaps the mosquitos are enamoured by the exotics that live and cruise in your neighbourhood (nod).

I once went down the progressive lenses road and "declared victory" and reverted to the hard line bifocal lenses. I got tired of bobbing my head to get the desired focus. Now that was at least a decade ago so perhaps your experience will be good for you.

So far so good…. And it was windy and cool last night, which probably would have dissuaded them from going out. Fan is on sale at Costco.paqman said:

Wifey insisted on a service last year, but I don’t love chemicals being sprayed about the yard, where the kids spend their summers, so wanted to try something else. -

Donating. A trip to the ER for a fall ended up with a 6 year old in my son's class getting diagnosed with leukemia. I have no affiliation besides them sharing a class. Horrible news and tough times ahead. https://gofund.me/c155a24a if anyone is interested

My worst nightmare honestly. I had a former coworker go through the same thing. He worked a job he hated for years soley for the insurance situation. The treatment is just one of the challenges.

That is rough. My wife had a friend whose son headed down a similar path, Dax Locke, unfortunately he died at 2 years old. The torment on the parents was undeniable. Dax was a trooper through it all. Poor kid never knew anything different. Still makes me tear up just thinking about it 14 years later.Elijah said:Donating. When asked a few decades ago what my number one wish was, I responded "To die before my children". So far so good. That is a burden I hope to never carry.I cannot imagine having to address and then live with that.Good for you to assist.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Even better haul this morning. Hard to see, but there are lots of critters caught up in this net. My father wisely suggested that in addition to the soda water (CO2) I add a worn shirt to the mix, I will keep experimenting.
