Second order coming from Saskatoon, ETA Thursday. Two orders placed about 40 min apart coming from different parts of the country!poster said:
$76 for 5 (thought i ordered 4 but was wrong), pretty sure it would come to me from Winnipeg. I bet they shipped to the lowest cost distances firstCanugghead said:
Hope so. Perhaps it's the delivery distance/cost, IIRC you are way up north, what was your Purolator charge that they have to eat? Mine is 43.37 for the four-bag order.poster said:
No, no shipping notice email. Maybe you got luckyCanugghead said:
Did you get shipping notice email before it got cancelled?poster said:
Did your order get cancelled ?, mine just did.Canugghead said:
I got order shipped email last night for the first order, the second order shipped email came this morning. No cancellation email yet, fingers crossed. However, when I tried tracking at Purolator site it says no information available yet, which probably means pickup is still pending so I'm not out of the woods yet I guess.canuckland -
I sent the info to a buddy in town and he ordered after me. His never got cancelled. Now I'm getting pissedCanugghead said:

If you're in GTA when weather is warmer, or know of someone going your way, I can give you a couple of bags. That's if you have room in the vehicle and don't mind a small hit on gas mileage.canuckland -
Thanks for the offer, it's very kind, but its not necessary. It is just pellets, it's the principle that bothers me. I do a lot of ordering/shipping/receiving at work and it's been a rough few weeks logistically to say the least. Anyways I hope these pellets taste like cowboy lump!... just kiddingCanugghead said:

Also was actually looking to head to downtown t.o. this summer fall. $600+/ night?? When did that happen. Have to wait until October to get decent rates. I was there last September and it was reasonable -
The advantage is perfectly cooked rice with good texture. I'm sure the same results can be obtained with cooking the rice in a pan, however the rice cooker brings consistency.Langner91 said:
45 minutes? Holy cow. Honest question, what makes it so great, then? Does the rice taste better from one of these?GregW said:
I have had one of those for years. I think you will really like it. One thing that I have found, it is really important to thoroughly rinse the rice before cooking.Ozzie_Isaac said:I am a bit embarrassed at how excited this is making me.
83 pages of rice cooking instructions too!
This thing is sexy! Ambidextrous spoon holders too.
The rice cooker will make it very easy to make rice, however it does take time to make. It takes around 45 minutes.
I figured these things cooked rice fast. -

I’ve never seen that deal before. I need to check it out. Usually closer to $22, but this is the first I’ve seen of Kirkland Brand. It’s probably made from boutique wood from a famous brand 😜Ozzie_Isaac said:

And I thought Grilling stuff was expensive. New Rocksliders, front bumper with winch, rear bumper with tire carrier, and roof rack for my GX is gonna run about $15k. And that's before I touch the wheels or suspension. Gonna have to do this in phases it seems. Fellas if you are gonna get into off-roading/over landing best advice I can give is get a junker. Don't upgrade your fancy "newish" SUV.
