Noted for a future cook. Though I will probably spatchcock and might skip the initial salt(high blood pressure in the family). I have done something similar using yogurt, lemon, and garlic.

Thanks for reminding me of my forgotten Christmas gift! Will need to substitute buttermilk with lactose free yogurt.GrateEggspectations said:

That is clearly a debatable topic but in the case of seeing a balloned cryovac brisket, I will yield to the winner. If I never see one it will be too soon.GrateEggspectations said:

While the deal on the brisket was great, my favourite part was the compliment I received from the cashier on my “big meat.”
I also picked up two whole tenderloins for breaking down into steaks - one for my in-laws.Napoleon Prestige Pro 665, XL BGE, Lots of time for BBQ! -

Shortages still ridiculous. Mostly cold items now. Very little milk, still zero in the Pilsbury section and absolutely no frozen pizzas except those made on Cauliflower crusts. These truck drivers go on strike and people will finally realize who feeds this country….

Someone spread a rumor that prices would be going up 40%. So a lot of people are stocking up . Last night there were no spaghetti noodles. Fettuccine etc was available .
-
I just keep running my reloading press while everyone stocks up at high prices. When this thing goes completely sideways, I will eat.
I WILL find some cardboard tube biscuits!Clinton, Iowa -
Havent noticed anything. Everything seems great like we have a competent leader.

Yeah, that's good. Do you guys have Metro around where you are? Twice a year they sell BIG tenderloins for about the same price (maybe a bit less) ... so that's when I stock up.GrateEggspectations said:

But, I think the formula is 5/9*($/kg)-32 or something like that.
Basically, that roast would be $12 here in the states.Clinton, Iowa -
Leave it to the Canadians to charge 77 Celsiuses for something only worth 12 Fahrenheits and think they got a good deal. So polite and not good at maths.Langner91 said:

Not only that, but we’re pretty bad spellers too. Just look at the label reading “boeuf.”Ozzie_Isaac said:

Primo XL oval grid is perfect for this. How did it turn out? My last three brisket cooks were MSM, tedious but almost foolproof taste/texture/timing -wise.Mr1egg said:

Will sell to the highest bidder. Also accepting crypto as payment -
A lot of time the grocery stores will put out meat specials they want to get rid of on Tuesday before the Wednesday sales. I went to three stores and this is what I ended up with. It's not great but it fills the freezer over time.

The best things in life are not things.

Little gaps in shelves here and there. Can't comment on protein, I shop at local butchers, excellent supply at them.LG BGE, Weber Genesis gas, Weber 22" Kettle, Weber Smokey Joe
