It's not just Nevada. I think they've been $5 a pound all summer in Minnesota, too.Battleborn said:There must be a rib shortage in my part of the world. Went by Kroger and BB were $20 a rack and Costco had zero in the case.Stillwater, MN -

I've noticed pork prices steadily climbing as well. Local grocery store had butts for $4 something a pound. No thanks.

I almost failed Econ 101 in college, so grant me a wide berth here. Inflation is a more generalized condition, not related to supply of goods, correct? So supply chain / production is more specific (eg rental car, lumber prices) vs general inflation. Is that right?THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER

In very simple terms, an excess of demand over supply.Legume said:I almost failed Econ 101 in college, so grant me a wide berth here. Actually bought it the beginning of July, yesterday I finally got my Aeron (Amazoid Prime has spoiled me a bit).

Was shipped by truck, and a big hole torn in the side of the box. If it came with tools and assembly instructions, they fell out. I had the tools, and after a couple of "dammit" moments got it together (attaching the headrest, there's a simple trick that I didn't figure out at first).
Found a place that refurbishes office chairs, so got this for half the cost of a new one; still a lot of damn money for a stupid chair, but it IS comfortable.“I'll have what she's having."

What's the deal? Ever since I got this and bring it out the bugs disappear. I'm just waiting for a mosquito to land on my foot.

We have so many flies right now I can go through a full load of salt in like an hour at the pool. Almost feel bad how strong this one is. This was a fly or the chair rail yesterday at the pool. It exploded.RyanStl said:What's the deal? Ever since I got this and bring it out the bugs disappear. I'm just waiting for a mosquito to land on my foot.

A bit of money fell into my lap last week so Im going to finally get the Ego Battery Powered mower this weekend. Making a last cut with the gas mower today and giving it away to a young couple with a new house.
xfire_ATX said:
I started with the weedeater- love it.fishlessman said:anyone have experience with the battery ego leaf blowers. probably never use it on the yard but thinking of one for the boat, dock, and deck. mostly pine needles
This summer the mower- Neighbor has one swears by it
Next summer the blower, I will keep my electric for the Vacuum function
SWMBO needs some time to forget the tools in between.
Ended up buying the Blower and the Mower this summer. I cant go on about how game changing these two things are.
1. Mower- pushed a craftsman gas mower around for 16 years, now self propelled battery is amazing. I take a nice walk while listening to podcasts.
2. Blower- I hated weedeating the sidewalks because I had to sweep so much or pull out 200' of extension cord for blower. I pull this blower out 2x a week for the driveway and patio plus after the lawn its just so easy to blow everything down.
XLBGE, LBGE, Charbroil Gas Grill, Weber Q200, Old Weber Kettle, Rectec RT-B380, Yeti 65, Yeti Hopper 20, RTIC 20, RTIC 20 Soft Side - Too many drinkware vessels to mention.
Not quite in Austin, TX City Limits
Just Vote- What if you could choose "none of the above" on an election ballot? Millions of Americans do just that, in effect, by not voting. The result in 2016: "Nobody" won more counties, more states, and more electoral votes than either candidate for president. -
I used that exact mower yesterday afternoon. Don’t have any of their other toys yet.

picked this up to use with my new offset, I know, its not gas but for me, should be enough. I get my wood ( firewood) already split so this is just to break it down more....gave it a test, works like a champ , not bad for under 300

Visalia, Ca @lkapigian -
It works perfect for splitting splits. I've had mine for 3-4 years and works great.lkapigian said:picked this up to use with my new offset, I know, its not gas but for me, should be enough.
