We’re opening a new office out of town. Man have I missed “normalcy”. Feels good to shoot the breeze, have business dinners and get out and about. SWMBO says I’ve went from 0-100 in a matter of weeks. Yup 👍
    That’s awesome! Keep going!

Also, “normalcy” has been weird. The state ended mandated mask mandates last week and it feels odd walking into a business without one.

Start the music, turn down the lights, release the dry-ice.  Go lasers, fire the glitter confetti cannon.  Game-week 38 arrives bang on cue as the precursor to the 10 week abyss of no PL football.  There’s 4th & 7th place battles to finish.  Hold on to your hats for an old school ten match simul-fest of footy fun.

Arsenal v Brighton : Mikel could pull it out of the bag with an unexpected European berth if they win here and other factors too tedious to list go their way. 2-1

Aston Villa v Chelsea : Tommy T has too much for the Villans.  Arrival in the top 4 has felt inevitable since the latest German Genius has arrived. 0-2 with little fuss.

    Fulham v Newcastle : er, well - what’s the point? 0-0

Leeds v West Brom : The hosts are not relenting but there are sharks in the water.  ‘Difficult second album’ syndrome exists in the PL when promoted teams do well in their first season then get found out  - see Sheff Utd this time.  They will win this at a canter but what happens in the Summer to sustain their success is the bigger question.  3-0 (with a side bet on 6-0)

Leicester v Spurs : Super squeaky bum time for the Foxes.  An FA Cup trophy is lovely but largely symbolic if they collapse out of the top 4 and miss the CL.  I reckon it’ll happen too, not because Spurs are good but the hosts have choking at the final hurdle in their locker. 1-1 after Harry opens the scoring with his last ever Spurs goal before going on strike next season because he doesn’t get the transfer he wants.

Liverpool v Palace : sorry @Foghorn Jnr,  you know this is at least 4-0 and Jurgy’s heavy metal football returns to the CL next season.

Man City v Everton : the visitors are not 7th yet and the hosts will be stung by a defeat last week.  Stand-by for the universe being out of equilibtrim as the Toffees fall to 8th, 9th to 10th after a 2-0 defeat.

Sheff Utd v Burnley : about £1m extra prize money on offer for the Clarets if they win and go up a place in the final league table.  Good as in the bank then. 0-1.

West Ham v Southampton : the Hammers really really want a win to establish their bona fides as Top 6 contenders.  I think they’ll win but don’t think they’ll repeat it next season. 2-1

Wolves v Man Utd : the only outcome of note is that Wolves could theoretically drop 3 places in the table if they lose and other results go against them, but a lacklustre 1-1 sees the players check-out for the Summer.

See you next week for copious excortiating detail about every session of inevitably rain interrupted county cricket between now and then.    Oh and the Euros run from mid-June to mid-July…..

    It’s been emotional.

Thanks for all of these, they have truly been enjoyable to read every week!

I absolutely love that the PL kicks off all final matches at the same day and time, so they are all happening simultaneously.  My main hope for Sunday is to be able to celebrate St Totteringham’s Day again.

Had to put some new tires on my trailer yesterday. The very last lug nut would not come off and i ended up stripping the lug. Pounded it out this morning and going to get a new lug soon. Always something to screw up a simple job.
I’ve previously had some lug removing seized nuts by heating them up with a torch. Otherwise, you can buy nut-removing nuts, but they ruin the nut in the process. Did you use a hammer and chisel/screwdriver?
Could have used a thread die instead of removing it maybe? That has saved me several times.
I just got the pneumatic drill out and it ripped it off. Popped the stud out and got some more. A 5 pack of studs was only $8 at autozone. One whole side of the back of the hub was wide open so easy to get to and replace.

Enjoying a few adult beverages heading for LEO knowing that the Zoom/Speakeasy is running unmoderated this evening if anyone even shows up.  Will have to get back into character May 28th for the grand finale.  It's all good and glad we have reached this point after a year plus.  Been a most enjoyable and appreciated ride with all who dropped in over the duration.
Again many thanks to the chairman ( @JohnInCarolina ) for having the insight to set this up way back when.

  • C’mon now John. Pretty sure your fellow members wouldn’t mind if you put yourself just a little more together for dem Zoom sessions.

In truth, I have no objection to this product. There is no reason women wear makeup but men don’t. Purely gender roles and cultural evolution. I have gay friends who I suspect use it. Any personality you see on tv is using it. This being said, would I rush to buy A-Rod’s concealer? No thanks. That being said, I’m not out looking for a mate.

Also, seems like strange (good?) timing for such a product. Coronavirus, market uncertainty, etc. It’s like A-Rod looked at the state of affairs and said, “what the world needs now is a makeover!”
