Getting ready to enjoy my last meal at Rula Bula.

    Closing or you dying?
Closing.  Locally famous Pub, building owner sold the building and new owner leased space to someone else.. Didn't give Rula Bula a chance.
Phew!  For a second there, I thought you might be dying...
Nope, you can put away the decorations and party prizes.

dang I was trying to figure out how to get your soundbar
I don't blame you 🤣 .  It is a Sennheiser Ambeo and I am pretty satisfied so far.  Final deciding factor was being able to use the sub I already own.  It works with any third party sub, no proprietary bs.  If Sonos Arc didn't require me to buy their $800 proprietary sub, I probably would have gone that route.
If it is worth doing, it is worth overdoing.

Fighting insomnia..having increasing difficulty getting back to a normal sleep schedule on my days off...I feel most days I'm in a vicious circle of more and more frustration.
Lately too I've been finding my job less and less rewarding..not so much the work itself but it's with the people tied to it...clients have unrealistic expectations, 2 of my coworkers are just lazy and see  literally 1/5 of the cases of me and the other guy..and then there's significant conflicts with one of the specialists every day.

I've talked to 5 other Er friends at other clinics..weve all been considering job changes ...but each one of us is the penguin at the Northpole that heard the south pole is warmer this year.. .they're getting out after this year..be it completely or at least a significant change in focus..

I've considered going back to school for a complete career change but reluctant too with the economy and fact I do have job security and descent pay..

I keep telling myself it's just one of them midlife deals....but at the end of the day something has to give somewhere

Welcome to the club.  Wish I had wisdom, but I don't.  Insomnia sucks and sometimes a person needs a change.

Had to put some new tires on my trailer yesterday. The very last lug nut would not come off and i ended up stripping the lug. Pounded it out this morning and going to get a new lug soon. Always something to screw up a simple job.

Honest question fellows. Is it just me or does this cloud look eerily similar to a perforated rectum?

Vulture that’s been shot dead and fallen toward us. There are now vultures circling over the vulture, but that’s off screen.

I’ve previously had some lug removing seized nuts by heating them up with a torch. Otherwise, you can buy nut-removing nuts, but they ruin the nut in the process. Did you use a hammer and chisel/screwdriver?

Just got off a zoom call from my cell with 4 other people. You guys that do these conference calls regularly get a thumbs up and a gold star from me. 5 minutes in and I was ready to bang my head into a wall.

I was on one (not zoom, but same thing) for 12 hours on Sat and 12 on Sunday.  No one stayed on the video, it was mostly used for audio and screen sharing.  That's not something I ever want to repeat.

No sir, I did not. It was sent to me by a friend in Texas. But he didn’t take it either. Someone sent it to him. The picture is suppose to be just outside of Dallas. However I don’t know that to be a fact.

Could have used a thread die instead of removing it maybe? That has saved me several times.

Yes, but they are easy to pop out and replace and I would recommend to anyone not to F with lugs from the safety perspective.  Wheels = good, no wheels = bad

Getting ready for the hockey game tonight. It’s weird how I scheduled my wife to have a nice hotel room room to herself for Mother’s Day on the same night that my favorite team plays.

I have an option to help you acquire the stamina for protracted Zoom calls.  Unfortunately the class has only one session left on Friday May 28th but will open for any participants at 5 PM (EDT).
You have missed a golden opportunity to hone your skills this past year but you do have a chance to monitor the class-no charge except your time.
Give it a shot.  Details early next week.

We’re opening a new office out of town. Man have I missed “normalcy”. Feels good to shoot the breeze, have business dinners and get out and about. SWMBO says I’ve went from 0-100 in a matter of weeks. Yup 👍

    That’s awesome! Keep going!

Also, “normalcy” has been weird. The state ended mandated mask mandates last week and it feels odd walking into a business without one.
