    The band "Rage Against The Machine" never stated what "machine" they were raging against, but I'm guessing it was a smartphone.

    That's a great rendition.  I loved that song ever since it played at the end of The Matrix

    The PL rumbles on and only time will tell what impact the catastrophic face-losing ‘Super-League’ episode will have.  It must have looked great on paper but it reminds me of that place called ‘Theory’ where everything always works.

    Truncated fixture list this week due to more cup related antics.

    Friday;

    Arsenal v Everton, with both strikers absent the hotchpotch Gunners blunder in to this game with even less certainty.  The Toffees need to win this to keep alive any hope of a decent season after their promising start waned.  0-2.

    Saturday;

    Liverpool v Newcastle, no-nonsense back to basics home win. 3-0

    West Ham v Chelsea, game of the week with both teams going well for sustained periods now. The visitor’s away form is better than the host’s home form, but goals and points shared. 2-2

    Sheff Utd v Brighton, finally will the Seagulls fabled ‘attractive football’ pay off with a pyrrhic big win over the doomed Blades?  More like punching a bloke that your big mate has already knocked out.  0-2.

    Sunday;

    Wolves v Burnley, few goals little interest 1-0

    Leeds v Man Utd, at least next season his will be the big game that history begs this to be. Goals ahoy. 2-4.

    Aston Villa v West Brom, Baggies are clinging to faded dreams now and the hosts should have enough to secure the three points without concern. 2-1

    Monday;

    Leicester v Palace, they used to be our bunnies but not any more.  The CL chasing Foxes will have talent to spare as they ease past the doldrum mired Eagles. 3-0

    Stoke make the short trip to Nottingham Forest for a game that should really be happening on Zoom. The only output will be the carbon emissions, 1-1.

    If that’s not enough fun for you the county cricket season is now in full swing and there’s lots to discuss.  Perhaps it needs it’s own thread?

    I'll suggest that the Gunners will look better than the Toffees but they will lose their concentration at some point and the game will end as a 1-1 draw.

    And Chelsea will see off West Ham 2-1.

    Recent form for both of us suggests that your predictions are much more likely to be accurate @CPFC1905.

    I need to start betting against my own judgements as it would nearly guarantee me some money.  Well done Everton.

    About 350 for an hour ought to settle that war - and provide a tasty dinner.
