Good to see our President focused like a laser on the issues that matter during this pandemic:

I’ve been a conservative my entire life. After watching how the GOP has conducted themselves during this pandemic, I’m 100% done with them. I don’t want to be associated with that level of stupidity. Trump insults my intelligence everytime he opens his mouth. My governor is dumber than a box of rocks. It’s blatantly clear that the GOP does not care about the safety of the American public. Yeah, I have been "unaffiliated" for the last two elections. The above tweets tell you everything you need to know about this mans character and morals you need to know. I am genuinely concerned for the world my children will have to navigate.DoubleEgger said:

Here in Georgia, it feels like all of the stay at home measures were a waste of time when you decide to reopen in the upper part of the curve.
At least I can go to the bowling alley on Friday and put on some borrowed shoes and put my fingers into a borrowed bowling ball.

I have a lot of family in Marietta. Two of them are the oldest living members of our family. They are completely cut off from everyone except their daughter and have been for 2 months now.DoubleEgger said:Here in Georgia, it feels like all of the stay at home measures were a waste of time when you decide to reopen in the upper part of the curve.

up here in massachusetts we rank number 3 and yet the cape wants to reopen for tourists from boston, its insane. maine on the other hand is staying home and drinking in big gatherings around camp fires. people are scared to go to the supermarket yet homedepot and lowes is a big social gathering, near impossible to social distance there

Not all restaurants in Georgia are rushing to reopen. Glad to see some level minded people out there especially when they are facing tremendous hardships. I’m going to be paying attention to places that rush to reopen and those who are playing it safe for their employees and customers. I look forward to patronizing the businesses who put their employees’ and the public’s safety first.
PS - I look forward to eating some wings at Fox Bros again.

As regards Georgia Governor Kemp trying to override county/local orders for lockdown.....
So, everyone can move around freely and small businesses can open. It would seem therefore, small businesses can no longer get Federal government assistance (because, in theory, they are now open for business).
So, the small business is open for business. But there are no customers. They (the customers) are going to try to stay home as much as possible. The small business is not making enough money to cover the overhead.
The landlord calls, hey, need some money..... sorry got none.
Just because the Governor says one can screw up and get infected, does not mean the citizens will follow the red herring. Time will tell on this, I tend to think most people get it.
