I see that Breville has bought the Joule/ChefSteps company.Probably a good thing as Breville makes some decent appliances and if it helps keep ChefSteps going and growing I'll be a happy longtime ChefSteps paid member.Perhaps Breville will make a version of the Joule with some controls/display so one doesn't have to use a device to operate the thing.

I'm about to join @milesvdustin on round two of National Hotdog Day. Also, I'm nursing yet another 'lightly' pulled muscle I just obtained trying to squeeze this monstrosity into my fridge.

@smokingal I just trimmed two packers I’ll put on tomorrow. Sadly they look nothing like that wagyu you have there. Enjoy!

Incredible. Just send me the address and the time it will be ready. 😊 Whatever you do with it will be magic.smokingal said:I'm about to join @milesvdustin on round two of National Hotdog Day. @smokingal Better to be lucky than good any day. 29+ lbs of beef goodness could mean a new cooker intervention. I'm pretty good with getting an oversized brisket into my LBGE but have never gotten within 10 lbs of that size, much less quality. However, if it can and likely will be done-you will be the one who will make it happen.I have no doubt that my credit limit couldn't touch that.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint. -
@lousubcap Japanese butchery is quite a bit different from Western standards (ie cutting by seams), so when I'm done, it will have been trimmed to a normal sized packer. These contain the whole point, as it extends up toward the neck, shown in that last photo. That's a good 8-9 inches of it's length that will be removed. No new cookers, lol. It's "Smokin Gal", not "Smoking Al".

1st step to a lifetime of frustration -
Any chance you are willing to document the process, including trimming, from start to finish? I’m sure that you’d find an enthusiastic audience here.smokingal said:@lousubcap Japanese butchery is quite a bit different from Western standards (ie cutting by seams), so when I'm done, it will have been trimmed to a normal sized packer. I’ll PM you my address so that you can send me the trimmings. 😊 -
We just cut the cable. I have spent part of the afternoon trying to learn Hulu Live. It's going to be a learning curve for sure, but I believe you can teach a old dog new tricks.

This is encouraging to me. My first arrival from Amazoid's Prime Sale this past weekend is a FireTVStick 4K, and a subsequent arrival (probably the last, 3 weeks from now) will be a $9 book on how to use the damn thing. I've already experimented with the "Hulu Live" website, and it looks like it only gets NBC of the local networks, but my OTA antenna is now picking up CBS again; probably need to rescan the entire TV and puzzle thru some things.bucky925 said:We just cut the cable. The more I look at it the more it looks like a combination of a turbo 911, Lambo and McLaren. All 3 of which I’d choose before it. It does however have a good look.Sandy Springs & Dawsonville Ga

I've seen a few renderings of it. I'm interested in seeing how close it is to the picture. They already lost me with the missing 3rd pedal. The new ZR1 in manual transmission will be the collector car in the future for newer Vettesbgebrent said:WeberWho said:Watching the live reveal of the new C8 midengine Corvette. The rear end looks like garbage. It looks like a new Camaro rear end. The rest of the car is a little more appealing."The pig is an amazing animal. You feed a pig an apple and it makes bacon. Let's see Michael Phelps do that" - Jim Gaffigan
