In a hole in the ground, there lived a Brisket.

Fellows, this might turn out to be a total disaster, but I thought what the heck. My little granddaughter is just fascinated when I cook pork shoulders, chickens and beef clods in the ground. With that said, when she saw the brisket she said; “Can we bury it too?”.
So in true Paw Paw tradition, I said certainly, we will give it a go.
This is is still about 15 hours from complete. No matter how it ends (good or bad) I will post the finale. Hey, if nothing else me and my little buddy are having a good time. And that’s all that matters my friends.

Great move right there regardless of outcome.  Way to grab the moment.  Somehow it might all work out.  Enjoy the fire feeding and follow-on banquet.

This runs so counter to good ol'Trumpas thread-talk about self-wrestling with two minds.
    Merry Christmas @SGH.

It will be later tomorrow but I will type the whole process up step by step for everyone. It works outstanding on whole hogs and pork shoulders.
With that said, it may be a bust for brisket. This is a true first for me with an underground brisket. I’m more of a Big Unit fellow when it comes to brisket.

If you had just half of Trumps intelligence it would be no problem figuring out how to do it ;)
I couldn’t resist that one buddy. And you certainly deserved it =)

Guy seems to have problems digging himself out of holes, but I'll take your word for it....just because it's Christmas.  ;)

Scottie, way to go with spending time. Like most kids the sun shone out of my Grampy’s backside and my parents were idiots, no fun, and worried about everything I got into with Grampy. She will never forget it. I too want more details and the results.

@SGH, you can get banana leaves in Mississippi?  Or what are those green, slat-looking things? (might make an attractive wall  )

You have to order them. There is no where in driving distance that I know of that stocks them. But yes, I can and do order them.
