I hope you are talking about the July 4th type as it seems I have household fireworks on a near-continuous basis. Of course, I flunked the "failure to recognize right answer when told" course every time I was accepted into the class.JohnInCarolina said:Enjoying the fireworks. They’re starting early here.
Have a great Independence Day.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint. -
Just got back from my drunken neighbor's...He was trying to remove the baffels from his newly purchased harley exhaust. He asked if I had allen wrenches. I walked down and looked around only to see 3 guys standing around scratching their hinneys and drinking beer. I told him to hand me a beer and fire the bike up. The look I recieved was priceless . He did, and we finished our beers. I asked him to cut off the bike and try the allen screw. Holy Cow, the screw came right out! I took two of his beers back home for payment. I don't think he still knows why the screws came out so easily . He may not be a mechanic but he runs the best burger joint in town!
The best things in life are not things.

Hitting the sauce to pregame 'Merica's birthday. Favorite holiday of the year.
Prime grade eye of ribeye roasting on the Egg currently. ABT's, moink balls, and a 8.5lb pork butt going on tomorrow.
Might pour a few fingers of bourbon to compliment this beer and see if any of the neighbors are blowing stuff up later. Safety third. -
Finally got a chance to try a couple new toys. The new Simpson’s Weber got broke in with some island teriyaki chicken skewers on a new skewer set I got a couple weeks ago. Also did a bacon cheeseburger but no pics of that and found a brew I’ve been looking for for awhile.

XL is getting up to temp. I have a brisket to cook or something.

Funny story (not all that funny actually) about how I ended up with this. @Shiff PM'd me a week ago that the Lancaster, PA had prime packers. My wife had just happened to be there that day. When she got home I asked her if she checked out the briskets. The look on her face...
Anyhow, today I stopped by the King of Prussia Costco on my way home to see if they had any. Nope, just overprice, over-trimmed flats. So I called SWMBO, knowing she was in the general area of the Lancaster Costco today, and she wasn't all that far. I asked her could she please, maybe stop by, and then call me? Well, they had two left, and one came home with her.
It's trimmed and rubbed, egg is running with Rockwood, and two chunks each of pecan and oak. Looking for a mid-afternoon finish with an FTC hold to head over to my sister's place to let the kids swim in their pool and hang out with their cousins.
Oh, also picked some ahi tuna steaks at King of Prussia Costco. Since I'm a wimp and didn't feel like slaving over a hot grill on the south facing side of the house, I did this inside on the stove thing.
Vanilla random order FTW:

@dmw if you were really lazy you’d just cube up that tuna and serve with wasabi and soy. Or, I would have. Lazy or not
-
I had big plans for tonight but work happened. I had salt brined and left salmon uncovered in fridge overnight, this morning I tossed it on the bge with Amazen pellet smoker. Got home at 1 and it had gone out... got it going again and went to work, got home at 7:30 and it was out.
Salmon is still good right? Ok to eat?South of Columbus, Ohio. -
I didn't say I was lazy, I said I was a wimp. It's friggin' hot out there in the sun. Not that your idea is a bad idea, but the rest of the family would have frowned. You see, they are not fully trained yet.theyolksonyou said:@dmw if you were really lazy you’d just cube up that tuna and serve with wasabi and soy. Or, I would have. Lazy or notThey/Them
