    @Eggcelsior - glad to read about the shoe tying experience.  When my two kids were growing up, no velcro strap shoes til they could tie their shoes and no digital watch or alarm clock til they could read an analog watch-face.  
    (BTW ages 26 and 30 now-and yes I am old!)
    Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.

    I’m at the Oakland airport - here with plenty of time to spare before taking the redeye back East.  This place could give Atlanta a run for its money as worst airport.

    I flew in and out of Oakland as it was the closest airport to Livermore.  But it really does suck.  At least the wifi is free.

    Nice. I've got thick-cut pork chops planned for tomorrow night and a full rack of lamb chops for either Saturday or Sunday.

    You might get a kick out of this.  When my kid was in kindy garten, I brought in all the taco fixings for make-your-own tacos, and corn on the cob.  

    Well, the smoke alarm went off, and the school had to be evacuated because of me.  The kids had a blast though, so I guess there's that.  In the second pic below the teacher was trying to fan the smoke detectors.  Good times.
