Just got home from a drive from Miami. ZZZZZ. Vacation starts tomorrow, err I mean today. Back to Nebraska for a friend's daughter's wedding and some college visits for the kids.=======================================

I finally fired up my 17" Blackstone after sitting the last month or two in the box. I purchased this griddle more less for tailgating after my softball games. My intentions were to order a 20lb propane adapter online for 1/2 the price of what I'd pay in the store. I kept forgetting to order the adapter because it's just a habit to grab the Weber Jumbo Joe for tailgating. Yesterday was my turn to bring food so I thought I better just go buy an adapter at the store or this Blackstone might never see the light of day.
I started the seasoning with bacon. Than switched to veggies. Tossed on some macaroni and cheese brats along with some classics. Just some basic tailgating grub.
It should be a great little griddle. It took 3 rotations to finish everything off. Which would have took 1/3 the time with the 36". But this was fun nonetheless. The 17" isn't also necessary meant to feed a softball team. It should pair up nice with the Jumbo Joe.

Today is a lucky day in the style of @DMW. Amazon advised me they lost the portable compressor I ordered, then it showed up after they credited me.
I emailed them twice to let them know it had arrived, offering they could reverse the credit. They sent me an email thanking me for "being the best part of Amazon", and that I could keep the compressor.
I know it's only a hundred dollar compressor, but it was kinda cool to get a freebee and show my kid a real life example that honesty pays off.

I've had pork belly out of the freezer since Sunday evening. It's vac sealed and was probably fully thawed by Monday evening. Would any of you hesitate to start a bacon cure on Friday? I feel like i'm fine, but I figured i'd ask.

Had a friend do some tree work for me. (trim a maple, remove a pine and grind the stump) I told him to send me a bill or I can give him cash. I gotta bill for egged meatloaf and apple pie...
Pie is in the oven...it may not take first place in the county fair based on presentation, but it will taste great
