Blackstone breakfast with 4/5 kids.  Not enough bacon for @tarheelmatt but the 20 somethings were happy.  Love it when the adult kids still pick “Home”.  Happy holidays brothers.

I'm so proud of you. You've graduated from cooking two pieces of bacon.
    Thanks little buddy!

That looks like it was a great breakfast.  Bet they would not mind that most mornings.

Watching the Eagles really sloppy play. The past two weeks have been bad, but they've managed wins. Hopefully they can manage again.

    Pork turned out pretty tasty.

    Beautiful food right there.

Neighbor dropped off a little present as a thank-you for watching his house and collecting his and his BIL's mail. Not a Sauce and Rib exchange but we'll have some new taste experiences for sure.

I showed up and my sister-in-laws house with a turkey I smoked the day before on the smoker. All I had to do yesterday was eat. No cooking or cleaning yesterday. It almost didn't feel right. I even took a nap. Talk about polar opposite of what a typical Christmas day might go. Not that I was complaining any

@kl8ton What is your method for keeping the water from freezing for the birds?
I have a heat lamp, but hate it when I have to have it on.

I have a heat lamp.  I used to have a heater and bubbler in a 5 gallon bucket.  I had the poultry nipples on the bottom.  Well, now I have ducks too and they need an open container of water. So I just dump it out and fill it twice a day and keep it under the heat lamp.  This morning, half the water was frozen under the heat lamp, so i lowered it a few inches.

I tried the poultry nipples as well - no luck. Took the electric gutter heater tape stuff and wrapped it around the 1/2" PVC to the nipples and as close to them as possible. Worked okay till we lost electric, then the water froze, split the PVC and every water nipple on the line. All the water in the supply bucket then leaked out all over the coop floor. Was a $hitty mess for a week as it would kind of thaw during the day while I was at work, then refroze before I got home.

Man - that was not a good experience.

I think my next move is a visit to tractor supply.  They have large rubber tubs.  When water freezes, you can knock them out.  They are not metal, so you are not denting them and they are not plastic that can shatter.

Getting ready to do some riding mower maintenance. Going to put this on.
Need to check the bearings of the pulleys before I do this because I don't want to do this job again.
