@DMW another banquet invite lost in the ether. All looks great but those lamb chops are the stars. Perfect finish right there. Congrats.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. I may or may not be kinda drunk whilst cooking a turkey. Maybe I won't hose it up.
-
@theyolksonyou - you are definitely in the late eating crowd if working on a turkey right now. Or I guess you could be well ahead of the T'day cooks. Enjoy the LEO ride whatever the plan/actual...

Trying to decide who I hate more, Miami or Notre Dame. .

Didn't hose it up.

@lousubcap the bird is for a potluck tomorrow. MBW signed me up without my knowledge.

The only thing better would be if Miami AND ND could both lose.TN_Egger said:Will the other #1 fall today too? -
Well, crap.

@theyolksonyou - looks great. My advice for the next time SWMBO volunteers w/o any head's up- she can cook it. Of course, the couch can get old in a hurry.
And regarding the ND- Miami quandary- ever since ND played for the tie against Michigan State in 1966 I have been a fan of whomever plays ND. You've gotta be old and a college football junkie to carry that for 50+ years... but at least it makes for an easy choice. FWIW-Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Took this 4.5# Boston Butt off at 11:30 pm, rested for 30 minutes and pulled just now. It is going to church for potluck after service.

@nolaegghead that is a good review and pads are easily / cheaply changed if they don't work well. I forgot about the bedding in procedure, it's a while since I did this. Do you have access to a road where you can get away with 'slightly' higher than legal speeds? The Pagids needed a sequence of high speed stops with different levels of application. I have a mile long straight near the house with low traffic volume that is ideal. They still squealed badly even with correct bedding in over several sets. Report back later.nolaegghead said:@Eoin i may regeret it, but it'll be a teachable experience.

Just not a UT path.....as I have seen through the years. Sorry about your year, Butch got fired after that game, as I read this morning. Maybe it will get better to finish the season, and prepare for next year. At least he won the "championship of life", or something to that effect.TN_Egger said:

We are still UK. Give us a million in football, we will turn it into nothing, every year, then extend the contract and increase the pay of the AD and coach..."Knowledge is Good" - Emil Faber
