@eoin Always loved the Elise, wanted one, out of my price range.  Sub 1000 Kg cars appeal to me.  As does mid-engine.   I've had 30+ cars and trucks, but have never been happier than I am with my Cayman S.  Not super fast accelerating, but respectable and more importantly, pure fun commuting.
Everything else feels clumsy and ponderous after driving a 900kg car with no PAS.

Do they sell the Elise in the USA? It's an amazing car, seems expensive for what it is, but hand built and light. Mine was 2 years old when I bought is for £18k in 2010 with 18k miles when the market was slow. Sold 4 years later for £11k with 56k miles. Home serviced as well, so cheap overall.
Son in law says his was the best car he owned. But he is one inch tall. Since then he has had a Golf R32, AM V8, a Saxo ( yes really  in that order ),  Evoque and now RR Sport.  Boys and toys.  Oh and for the wedding it was a yellow 488 - now that was a car!  I only did about 20 miles - but wow!
Other girls may try to take me away
But you know, it's by your side I will stay

Smoked some turkey, practice run for the big day. Butter and herbs on the breast, maple garlic rub on one leg, cranberry herb rub on the other.

    Overcooked the legs but passable.

I'm 6'4" tall.  The hard bit is getting in and out, but that is just practice.  Adjust the pedals fully back, wear very narrow shoes and remove the joke sun visors and it's OK.  Wearing a helmet for track days is roof off only, no clearance with the roof on.

AM Vantage.  There's a car worth owning.

Just picked up my new duty gun, Wanda. Had to tell SWMBO that guns have a 5 year shelf life. Not sure if she bought it or was just impressed at the audacity of the statement.

Just got home from a FL Keys fishing trip with my son.  Day 1, 30in snapper and 26in grouper plus a bunch of smaller one.  Should have had a lot more of the snappers but they kept getting stolen by sharks.  We'd be reeling in a nice fish/nice fight and BAM! we could feel the shark hit and a few seconds later the line would be cut.  Day 2 Shark Week! five big sharks biggest were a 5 ft lemon and 5 1/2 ft black tip (pictured).   You can see me bracing to not get pulled overboard.

And yes we had stone crabs.  Could only afford half a pound for $20 which was four large claws.
    Boat to table, yum.

Grading midterms.  It's not pretty for anyone involved.

I'm curious what @Ozzie_Isaac is paying for a mercenary for thread monitoring/protection services.
Forum popo are surprisingly inexpensive on retainer.  Only issue is when Nola gets rolling.  Those bills rack up fast.

    EW eggnog French toast.
The Aldi brioche dinner rolls were perfect, and the tops fried up quite nice.  Fresh egg, whole milk, nog, nutmeg, cinnamon, brown sugar.

I was surprised at how big they were.  17, 19, and 22.

I was shocked to see a 41 pounder there!  I talked to the owner of the bird.  It was free range for a year and a half.  It protected the farm. It attacked their boy.  Now Clyde will celebrate thanksgiving being passed around the table.

Gearing up for the College B'ball kick-off double-header.  Gonna be some great opening entertainment played but some projected and talented teams.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

@Jeremiah - Glad to see that beer looking wine in the pic.  Be careful about what you withhold-the return serve would likely win every time.  ;)
