    Just leaving some notes for our builder.  He comes in this week to wrap up things we were not satisfied with.

    @Killit_and_Grillit - that is a priceless shot.  Way to catch it.
    BTW- For many years (when the children were young) the traditional turkey always had a name.  Family contest a couple of days prior to settle on the name so that everyone knew when to "please pass (insert name".  And you can imagine the follow-on sentence construction and use.  Definitely an entertaining side-show.  FWIW-

    Where I found issues with workmanship.
    Some tape has notes other tape is located near obvious flaws. I have them all over the house.  Mostly painting issues.

    Example

    This one says spacing.  No grout or room for grout here.  Plus you can see everything settled and the grout and counter are separating.

    @Eoin

    Don't you have an Elise?

    https://ebcbrakes.com/ebc_product_reviews/gordon-shedden-btcc-professional-driver-test-of-ebc-yellowstuff-and-orangestuff-pads-and-bsd-blade-discs/

    I have about $260 in these pads, should get them in the next few days.  I hope they are streetable; don't bite too quick or in a way to make the car tough to predict the deceleration, and not "embarrassingly" noisy ("hey, look that a-hole should replace his brakes!").  They're supposedly not that terrible with dust, I couldn't care less about brake dust, a sign of pride, to me.  Worst case, I keep them for special occasions, and buy a more OEM style for daily driving.

    There are dozens of prominent professional athletes guilty of rape and other sexual crimes.  Ok, lets pivot for no reason to a black guy in a different sport.

    @nolaegghead I used to have an Elise, ran it as a daily for 4 years and did track days in it as well. Replaced it with the M135i as more practical. The BM is fast but you could never call it a sports car. Loved the Elise, going to get another some time.

    @eoin Always loved the Elise, wanted one, out of my price range.  Sub 1000 Kg cars appeal to me.  As does mid-engine.   I've had 30+ cars and trucks, but have never been happier than I am with my Cayman S.  Not super fast accelerating, but respectable and more importantly, pure fun commuting.

    Went to my shop this afternoon and finished work on my buddy's boat (after months of work).  Got everything fixed, wired, epoxied.  Now we can fish on his now and then, rather than mine all the time.  And his trailer has a plate, mine, nope.  I need to legalize it, have the title, lazy.  Anyway, curious to see what his 2-stroke outboard will do.  Catching fish and getting outta the city are the main goals.

    Everything else feels clumsy and ponderous after driving a 900kg car with no PAS.

    Do they sell the Elise in the USA? It's an amazing car, seems expensive for what it is, but hand built and light. Mine was 2 years old when I bought is for £18k in 2010 with 18k miles when the market was slow. Sold 4 years later for £11k with 56k miles. Home serviced as well, so cheap overall.
