Apparently at least one of Paddocks guns was just fitted with a bump stock and was not converted to fully auto as was earlier thought by some authorities.“Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.” ― Philip K. Diçk

I'm not sure how a .223/5.56 is compensating for anything. Looks like a fun one to pling with @FockerJohnInCarolina said:

Would enjoy a bigger one, but the ammo cost and my budget are not compatible. My hobby philosophy doesn't quite line up either, all toys get used.
150 rounds today cost me $51, and $20 for lunch at Habanero's, for him driving out to Princeton, IA.
If you're ever out this way, you and yours, are always welcome brother. I could load the small egg and cooler up, take it too.

I’m a huge gun supporter but civilians shouldn’t be able to purchase or own semiautomatic guns period no matter the situation but saying that I own an AR15. It’s a mean gun and using a bump stock on it makes it a monster. Both sides have great points. We do need tougher gun laws but I’m not sure if they would have stopped this monster from killing ppl.

There are an estimated 8 million Colt AR-15s in American homes, making it the most popular rifle in the country."

what's interesting to me is that when the United States is compared with all other countries in terms of gun deaths per 100K, is that nobody is talking about how open and free the US is for anyone around the world- through legal means. What I mean by this is that Lithuania, France or Russia do not have nearly as many people living in their countries from all over the world as the United States does nor does any other nation on earth allow for the opportunities to become educated, rich in business, medicine, entertainment or public life and religious practices in whatever means people want to as the US does. And yes, gun ownership is part of the freedom bundle that we enjoy. i am humbled by the absolute brilliance of the framers of the US Constitution and Bill of Rights.
Freedom does mean something here and relatively speaking, other countries have a lot less freedom than the US. And, by the way, whenever there's a problem around the world, who do they call? the good old U S of A, we solve the world's problems and get blamed for almost everything.
I do not think this is the time for debating firearm ownership rights, or to attack the president. In fact, i am looking forward to Rachael Madcow to make an idiot of herself once again when she says Trump celebrated this shooting because it was miraculous, in his description. She's too stupid and biased and she thinks her audience is too dumb to realize that Trump was talking about the first responders law enforcement. Keep it up MadCOW, all you're doing is p!ssing off more Americans and driving them to the polls to vote out the liberal holier than thou everyone who doesn't align with our intellectual superiority deplorable lefties holding office and drive them toward Trump.

Actually you don't need a bump stock. I can bump fire my COLT AR15 without one. I never have and never will, it just doesn't intrest me.Focker said:I doubt these will be legal much longer.

The dude in the vid has a pretty steady muzzle, for blowing through a 100 round drum in seconds.
There is already talk tonight on the National news about the ban.
We can rapid fire at the range. I usually do have a little fun with one mag. But this stock, or bump firing from the hip, also has zero interest to me. Sad thing is, ISIS, and/or other FFCs, may be placing orders as we speak.BrandonQuad Cities

That's fine, but just because Maddow is a moron doesn't mean Trump is not an even bigger embarrassment.westernbbq said:what's interesting to me is that when the United States is compared with all other countries in terms of gun deaths per 100K, is that nobody is talking about how open and free the US is for anyone around the world- through legal means. Pretty hard to kill 59 from a ways off by stabbing, strangling or beating. I think you'll find that things that can kill lots of people from a distance are generally subject to some kind of controls - you know, like explosives and poisons.g8golfer said:
THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER -
During the Obama administration all we heard from gun nuts was how Obama was going to take away all their guns. Panic buying ensued raising prices and creating $carcity of some types of ammo.
The NRA was responsible for stoking that fear much to the delight of gun manufacturers. The Obama admin never signed a single piece of legislation that restricted gun owners rights, in fact, it did just the opposite.
Just gotta love the irony now to see that some wingnuts are blaming the Obama admin for approving the sale of bump stocks back in 2010. That Obama fellow was a tricky one - simultaneously increasing and decreasing gun owner rights.

I’m about done with this thread, I would just say that to anyone who didn’t listen to the video I posted to start things off youre missing out on a good laugh“There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body.”

It is a hilarious bit but I think that the 10% of the crowd he mentions - a lot of them are here.

I see that the NRA is now trying to kill off a complete ban on bump stock mods by saying that "MAYBE some regulations MIGHT be needed" but they are instead urging lawmakers to pass the "National Right-to-Carry" reciprocity laws cuz, you know, the way to deal with bad guys with guns is to have more good guys with guns BS.“Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.” ― Philip K.
