Our situation is nothing at all, compared to what has been generated with this storm, on its way up here. I just wish everyone had the side of Irma we have received, instead of what our friends had to deal with down south.
Hoping all is well for y'all.

    Guess I fit right in.

You all using Van De Wiele's?

Majority if carpet is made on tufting machines. Looms are used in rugs and very high end wool. Also, some commercial such as aviation.
We have a really nice woven wool Axminster in one room at home. Cost 4 x what we normally spend.

Wait!  You're actually planning to work tomorrow?!
I cancelled tomorrow's surgeries for a variety of reasons. Worked today and am exhausted. Surgeries were not at Children's.
    So to summarize:

you allegedly worked in tropical storm conditions today, but you cancelled on the poor kids.

I made carpet all day for all races, creeds, ethnicities, ages and orientations.
Yeah, but carpet. I slung a few bean bags in 84 degree weather today as well. The struggle is real my friend.
One: I was fûcking with Brent. He knows it.

Two: it's a lot more complicated than you think. I'd invite you to come visit our manufacturing should you ever find yourself in NWGA.

Don't think I've ever called you out for selling garments.
Ha ol bitter one, calm your @ss down. Don't make me drive over there to NW GA. You ought to be happy cause you guys gonna be makin / Shipping a butt load of carpet to Florida. You ain't gonna have much garage drankin time either.

We were vacationing on Hilton Head Island last week as Irma approached. As the projected path became more clear, many of the locals started evacuating Thursday and Friday. We originally decided we would also leave Friday, but ultimately decided to leave at 3:00 AM Saturday ahead of the mandatory evacuation. As we drove off the island we were literally the only 2 vehicles on the road. Very strange. Once we got back to Indiana, we monitored the local newspaper for any updates on damages and saw this article -

My folks were on Hilton Head and left Saturday morning also - said same as you.  That is until they hit Macon, GA and then it was gridlock.

@Foghorn - Checking in late, because...well Florida drivers. We stayed an extra day hoping the big push to get home would occur yesterday. Bad decision. Eggin' neighbors left at 4:30 am yesterday and had clear sailing except for one short detour. We left at 2:30am today and had clear sailing until we reached Alachua county. Minimum speed of 40 mph was only a dream. Got bad gasoline at Shell station in Gainsville which caused check engine light to appear and flash then stay steady. Got off and went to a NAPA store to Lukas gasoline cleaner and went thru Orlando to get to SR528 and home. Another 11 hour drive and things to do when we got home. It is 4:30 pm and I am finally showered and sitting down. We have electricity but have a boil water notice. Joy.
Think I'll slice up some eggplant and fry on the egg. Corn on the cob is looking good to me. First world problems yeah I know.

Powerlines entangled in the oak which has caused tension and resulting in 2 separate power poles severely leaning and now almost ready to rip off the side of the house---out of the meter can/ socket. Blows because we can't begin to even clean up until emergency personnel come out and cut the tree up & away from the power line and redo the power line from the house to the first and second pole to the transformer. 8 Trees in total. Most importantly everybody is alive and well.

Today in Jacksonville. Their parents must be proud! Stole an entire powerline pole from a FEMA JEA truck. I wonder why they didn't get away with it?! Dumbasses!

Why did they do away with chain gangs? 6 months in striped pajamas cleaning up after the storm would be a win win.
You know that power pole would make a nice permanent flag pole at my tailgate. That said, how the hell did they get that thing on top of the car? Would think it would be a bit of a challenge to stand up and cement into the ground without proper equipment. I'll just keep my retractable I guess.

Yet it seems like such a well thought out plan.
