I'm glad I'm not yet at that point where suggesting BBQ equipment under a covered space is a divorce-able offense, but I do admire your ability to push the limits.  Sir, you are my role-model. (PS - don't tell SWMBO)

I was kinda thinking about maybe building a cinder bloxk smoker. It would be a ton cheaper than the Shirley I want. I got tons of stuff to do before then.

'tis a question of how much BBQ equipment, and how much covered space  that tests the boundaries :) She's been ok so far with all the cooking devices and the several hundred pounds of charcoal. She's looking for gardening space and a big kitchen in a new house. And I'm looking for space to set up a stickburner. Priorities.

Sounds like those individual goals can form a union with a little healthy negotiation (and maybe a new house ;) ).   Little trick I learned from Myron Mixon - when you're cooking a whole hawg and the little lady thinks something like "that thing is disgusting!", well, you just grab a stick of lipstick from her purse, and maybe a bow, and apply to the pig.  (PS - don't forget to return the lipstick ..... shhhhhh!)

I'll bet if you invited a bunch of knuckleheads from this site over for a weekend we could get a cinder block stick burner built for you by Saturday afternoon and you could be cooking brisket on it by Saturday night.

I bet @SGH would even supply the anus on a Sunday morning.  Would he have to wear a robe?

Sadly, I'd probably put money on there being a smoldering pile of ash where the Dodge dealership used to be.  That is, if you invite some of the miscreants here to party there.

Well, we know for a fact that the delinquents here can build a goat pit with cinder blocks on short notice.

That doesn't negate the "Texaswig is king of the ashes" postulate though...

This could be the next location of the BGE version of "Burning Man".
Sadly, we all know it could happen.

Sulfuric acid for the fleshy parts, hydrochloric for the bones.  Neutralize with lime, dump down storm drain.  Easy peezy.

Double digit cooking devices, 500 lbs of Rockwood in the garage, and its getting her a nicer car that pushes her over the edge.  That's one crazy gal you have.

Unfortunately that is where we are when everyone gets a trophy and feels entitled.  Sad-
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.

It's not like you held a gun to his head and made him come.

Tell him to come back and show him the murder van. Don't say anything . Just show it to him.
