I'll be staying at the Courtyard Marriott right off the exit.  Says it's about 2 miles away from Dan Nichols.
I'm bringing a couple of my RTICS with me.  The 65 will be full of beer and refreshments and I'll have food in the 45.
I can bring my Mini Max if we need more cookers.
Staying there myself.....if you want a mostly sober driver for the ride back....i got the wife.

Well, I'm really getting jealous of all you guys. Last year was a really, really great time. I hate I will miss this year! Can I go ahead and request that next year not be during furniture market? Pretty please!

If anybody has any requests from my neck of the woods I can grab it and bring it with me.  I was planning on bringing some local favorites to share.  I’m planning on bringing some canned local brewery beers to share and some snacks and food to help everyone with their sobriety.   I know this is a family friendly event, so I was thinking s’mores for the kids and maybe some Graeters ice cream?  Grippo’s bbq chips, skyline chili and goetta?  Let me know.

Just want to make sure I’m pulling my share and not freeloading this weekend so let me know what’s needed!

Matt, Gary, and I haven't talked about this too much, but the next to last weekend in April is pretty tough to beat.  There are just a number of constraints in terms of timing so as not to conflict with other festivals, holiday weekends, etc.

Hope you'll be able to make it next year!

I am going to echo a lot of what @YEMTrey said.

I know it is an informal thing, but I am a type "C" person so I am overly analytical.  I need to know that I know what I need to know before making a decision of any kind.  I want to make sure that I contribute in a way that is welcome, appreciated and needed, but I do not know what that is or how to do that at the moment. So I am going to blurt out a few thoughts bouncing around in my small brain:

    • I currently have plans on bringing my MiniMax to cook small amounts of a few things on, but certainly not enough to cook enough of something for everyone.  Nor will it be used 100% of the time, so I am stating it now that it is available as a small amount of additional grid space for others if needed and not already in use. First come first served… just ask. (I will have a stone so direct or indirect will be available.)
    • If this is like a “pot luck” type of event, what do we need that I can bring? Plates? Cups? Bowls? Plastic cutlery? Trash bags?  I can bring some of those things if needed, but do not want to if they are already going to be readily available. Or is it all BYO?
    • I expect a few people will provide a bunch of food that is more than enough to make up for those that are not bringing a lot. I am including myself in this category. Do we have a method to the madness for bums like me? If someone is putting out $300 in food and I am putting out $50 – that is not fair.  Example: I think @YukonRon already spent a lot on the slushies and I plan on partaking, so am I to take it up directly with him?
    • I am bringing several dozen eggs from my chickens – I think I should have about 8-10 dozen maybe even more. As of now, I have no plans on using any.  Since I can bring them, I will. So if you need or want some, let me know. Again, first come first served. Want to reserve some? PM me.

Really getting excited for the event!

To piggyback what @YEMTrey and @Sea2Ski already posted, I am not planning on cooking saturday either. I will have my minimax with me and can possibly bring the 36 inch blackstone if anyone wants to use either please let me know, as I am not planning on cooking saturday. That said, I am planning on bringing 3 or 4 (or more?) tri tips for friday night, and all are welcome to join at the campsite. (I believe we are at site 39?) I will also have plenty of South Carolina beer to share, so please ask, all are welcome to it as well.

    @Sea2Ski

The way we set things up last year is that we had a number of cooking stations - around 6-7.  People would cook what they had for food and pretty much hand it out to whomever was around.  We're going to try and arrange things slightly differently this year, so that cooks can put food on tables and then folks can just walk by to sample, much like a regular Eggfest.

So if you want to cook something for the masses, make sure you've registered as a "Chef" or as someone bringing a cooker and we'll set you up.

No need to bring plates, cups, or bowls, cutlery, etc.  We will provide all of that.  If there is something special you want to have to serve your dish on for the masses, then please bring that.  But we will have plenty of the usual things for people to eat on and with.

It's a generous group and everyone just contributes what they can.  I wouldn't worry about settling up with anyone.  Honestly you are doing us a huge favor by just being there to EAT!

    Look forward to meeting you!

So, based on the above, I’m going to show up with my coolers and a chair. Accompanied by some beer/snacks to share and just chill.  I’m more than willing to help out with food prep, cooking and transporting.  Just catch me before I’ve had too many slushies and beer!

Sounds great.  Watch out for Ron's slushies - my suggestion is to sip them slowly.  Certainly sitting in a chair and drinking them is a perfectly fine plan, so long as you don't plan on getting up to be useful to anyone in particular. ;)
