Yeah, it was a thought, but decided it would be a big loss if I served that. Meat is a little sour and salty too.

I am only 10 mins. from Salisbury.  I don't think I will make it to the camp ground Saturday for various reasons.   But if those staying in a hotel would like to have munchies and a beer you are more than welcome to come by the house for the evening.  I would love to meet some of you pervs, er EGGERS.  I will provide the munchies you the beer.

If you see some dude looking like Richard Simmons, hooked on smack wandering around Salisbury , with a Kentucky Wildcat shirt on, it's Brent, so please return him to the campground and or petting zoo.

ROFL...UK better than dook, but not by much...I really though my wife would be in town to drive me around, but as I said she will be in the eastern part of the state.....No way I'm stopping in and spend the night with a goat in the petting zoo Friday.  Once again if anyone wants to stop by PM me and I'll give you my address.

Well started my prep work for the BB. Harvested about a gallon of fresh squeezed  Ruby Red Grapefruit juice. It will be available with Tito's out of the back of my Outback Bar. Available after Bloody's of course. Remember, it is important to build a solid healthy base before moving to the burbone slushies.

The true point of this bust, is a true thank you to my arch rivals.  John's beyond saving, Matt's a typical Tarheel.  Who would ever think being a tarheel sounds good?  Gary and I will cook a bit.  And I can't wait to assist John and Matt with their cooks and service.  Then there's DoubleEgger.  Look forward to seeing those that can join us.

@Jupiter Jim you said some of the best food will come out after dark. Can you come and go as you wish even if you are not staying at the campground?

General question to the masters who will be in attendance:  if I bring a uncured pork belly from Costco, will someone show me how to do a good cook with it other than bacon? I have tried a few different methods, but have not what I have considered success with anything. I figure this might be the perfect opportunity given the circumstances. Let me know.  I will be happy to pick up the belly and any ingredients needed. I want to learn the technique and I figure someone here might be willing to share/instruct.

Does anybody have any knowledge or experience with “Kitchen & Company” store in Asheville.  They carry all kinds of outdoor grilling stuff.  Website shows they have Rockwood, Wicked Good, FOGO and all kinds of accessories, rubs and sauces.

I’m thinking about stopping in if it’s worth it.

I think the master when it comes to this kind of thing is probably @nolaegghead, and I'm sure he'll be happy to tell you what he knows.
