Sorry, UK fans.  Help me understand something.  Calipari has been at the helm since ’09.  He cherry picks the best talent in the country and brings them to UK.  However, he only has one title to show for it.  Where is this dominance that is promised and that all UK fans spout? 

Maybe you should go after Coach Geno Auriemma.  He’s doing the same thing at UConn with MUCH greater success.

In another five or more years is one title won worth the baggage that comes with him?  When does this experiment prove invalid?  Honest question.

 

And let’s not forget we’re talking basketball here, lol.  You could combine UK, Duke, and North Carolina and still not field a .500 college football team!

This isn't an apples to apples comparison.  Players are literally tripping over themselves to go to UConn's woman's program.   The best player in the country is transferring from Duke to go there.

Much more competition for talent on the men's side.

Also, I'm not a UK fan. I just think the argument is flawed.

Riddle me this. The entire "story" of the NBA can be told WITHOUT even mentioning UK and their "great history". 

With the recruits he gets, you'd think they'd have more success.

I think the better question @YEMTrey is how does he do it with Freshmen.
He seems to put a top 10 team on the floor every year, plays in a tremendous conference, plays a brutal OOC, and still is a threat every year.
Critique all you want. He will still come to town, beat your team, get the best recruits, and drink all your good, cold beer. 
Oh, and will do so, without cheating or assigning players to fake classes. 
Fun Fact: an appreciable portion of his salary is tied directly to his players GPA, which rates at the top every year, and the class program is legit.
The NCAA monitored UK and others, just to get a barometer of the classes offered for their investigation of UNC. UK was rated the highest of the schools reviewed.
He just signed an extension, which not only makes him the highest paid coach, but ensures your team's asz kicking is around for another 5 years. 
I like the ACC schools. They make the SEC look innocent by comparison.

Now that’s what I’ve been waiting on Ron!

However, if you think Fox, et al. have attended a class since March Madness I think you’re sorely mistaking.  These one and doners take fluff classes the two quarters they happen to be there and nothing else.

The SEC is FAR from a tremendous basketball conference, that’s a stretch and I’ll spot you SC having a run in the tourney. 

Fun Fact:  Wherever Calipari has been in the past there’s been smoke.  Where there’s smoke, there’s fire.  Using UK as a barometer to gauge ACC classes (NC, none, they don’t go) is a pretty low bar to step over. 

Again, the record speaks for itself.  Since ’09, one title.  The one thing that you can surely take pride in is that at least you’re not Louisville.
