    My only rule with taxes is not to OWE money come this time of year.  I've got it down fairly well with our deductions in such to get right around $1k a year back.  
    The money you owe at the end of the year is money you could've been earning interest on during that year, instead of Uncle Sam.  Granted, the amount of earned interest on <$1K over one year, at today's rates, will buy you a couple of Starbucks, and emotionally it sucks to write out a check to the Guv'mint.
    But, mathematically, you'll come out ahead.  
    Sorry, I'm an engineer.   ;)

    And the money continues to be spent.  I knew buying this new Denon receiver and Sony BD player was going to cost me.  Just ordered some more Blu's and some SACD's.  I'm enjoying the hell out of this, but it's getting more expensive than Egging!

    I try to be really strict about only buying blu's that I'm committed to watching again and again.   But there's so much to get caught up on, lol.

    Ozzie - Hatred is unhealthy, and not good for your wife.  She should work on accepting your girlfriend for who she is.

    I took the day off.  Blasting 9 cast iron pieces.  Blasting an offset smoker I acquired.   Rendering some lard during all this.

    Also experimenting how whiskey tastes at different hours throughout the day.

    I find 10am whiskey is my favorite, followed by 7:00 pm whiskey.

    If a fire is involved then all hours are good.

    Just got back from a trip to Clinton to complete the adoption paperwork on a couple of @badinfluence's orphan eggs.  Those poor babies look like they just left the showroom.  Then swung over to @pgprescott's store to visit ... he was out working, so spent the time with his father and wife.  I think Pete must have seen me coming ... they had their first shipment of CGS stuff spread out on the floor.  Hmmm ... a couple of Mini Max Woos, a 10 inch stone, and one Smokeware cap adapter and we were off for home.
