Back to friends crib, just barely caught the ferry back, hit the Crown and Anchor bar, now back at home.  Alarm set for 5AM to fish out of Lafitte.  That's my Saturday.

@Nuke1855 got me inspired to try empanadas on the Egg, already had the ground turkey and shredded cheese.
I tried using a tube of Pillsbury rolls I had in the frig, would just roll them out and use them.  Turns out it was a tube of croissants instead, even better, thought I could make little triangular emps.  The dough was not holding together very well; did you know these things have an expiration date?  June 2014 in my case.  The tube did "pop" when I unwrapped it so I pieced together some pies, all kinds of different shapes!  Will let you know how they come out.

Probably won't turn out as they are flaky. Make it worth it and run out and get that dough brother. You can also use Pillsbury pie crust and cut out some circles.......

Heh, they didn't turn out at all, but flaky they were not!  That dough was dead, didn't rise at all, didn't brown on the top, and burned on the bottom.  They went in the trash and I had a can of beans for lunch.

Moved the pizza oven to the deck this afternoon.


Made a BBQ pizza with rib meat from leftovers from last night's ribs.



And then two cheese pizzas


And no, I do not start them in a pan so they are round, I just shape them so they are round.

@theyolksonyou It was almost 50* today. However, even with temps like that, almost 30" of snow will stay around for awhile.

Got up gawd awful early and dragged the boat out to Lafitte where the fishing was terrible, except for the 40 pound gator I foul hooked.  I wanted my lure back but it had lots of sharp teeth, tried, ended up cutting the line.   Buh bye $5 spoon lure.
