Given the forecasted snow/ice event and a trip to local grocery store, I wanted to know if anyone has a favorite dish/meal for such an occasion. We’re going with chicken tortilla soup and plenty libations.

No snow forecast for south Louisiana. We are expecting a 45 degree temp swing tomorrow

Always soups and stews. We try to keep the freezer stocked with portioned meats for this and always have onions, carrots, potatoes, dried beans, etc., so we can go in a lot of directions. Shepherds pie or cottage pie are a go to as well.Love you bro!

Consuming personal anti-freeze is a great prep deal. I would not suggest that for the post snow/ice/freezing rain issues.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

Chili is extra good if you're holed up. That or pepper stout beef would be my favs.

I'm all in with however much snow comes our way. Been through a healthy ice storm and don't need to revisit that deal. I will check with the high drama guessers a bit later this evening.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Well it’s going to drop below 30 soon. I just bought 4 pounds of chicken thighs. I also bought the ingredients for a Turkish souvlaki type marinade. I tink that I will turn the leftovers into a pot pie.

I hope everyone stays safe and comfortable during the storm. The Chicago area is north of the serious ice and snow but we’re going to get the cold. I vote for a shepherds pie or a hearty lasagna.XL BGE

Well-not to be outdone this winter storm has a name-"Blair." I forgot that the weather guessers need to be more inclusive thus naming winter storms. What next, excessive heat waves or droughts? Everybody gets a trophy!

This aligns with a lot of insurance policies having exclusions for "named storms"...

Just Vote- What if you could choose "none of the above" on an election ballot? Millions of Americans do just that, in effect, by not voting. The result in 2016: "Nobody" won more counties, more states, and more electoral votes than either candidate for president. -
